THE PAST With 13 LPs under his belt, plus over three hundred EPs, with singles on such legendary labels as Harthouse, Superstition, Data Rec, Hooj Choons, Yoshitoshi etc. he has been at the forefront of electronic music for 30 years and remixed everyone from stadium-filling acts like Faithless, The Human League, Moby, and Yello to the best up and coming producers in the scene. Releasing genre defining music under aliases as L.S.G., Paragliders, S.O.L., The Ambush (to name just a few) and his real name, Oliver has covered the full spectrum of underground techno, house, trance, and ambient sounds, and evolved his own distinctive style and presence that is immediately felt with his productions. In 1999 Oliver released the Lithium EP by Paragliders on his first own label platform and released constantly under his real name starting on Ministry of Sound’s in-house label Data Rec. with his release Subraumstimulation. After the label Superstition stopped he re-invented himself in 2005 starting his Techno label Maschine and in 2013 his label Solieb Digital for re-releasing his remastered classics. Oliver started touring all over the world as a live-act in 1992. He switched to DJ’ing in 1997 as he enjoyed the more direct contact to the audience and rocked some of the biggest clubs and festivals around the world like Australia, Mexico, Argentina, Japan, USA and Canada and all over Europe. 2019 has seen Oliver returning to Tronic Music with an exclusive mix of his track Tesla on the Rockets -VA Compilation in January followed by his Violet Sky EP that came out late February. In late March Oliver returned to Bedrock Records with his brand new Phosphorus EP After a short break to finish his new website and re-releasing his last ambient album Inside Voices on his label Solieb Digital in June, Oliver released a remix of Open Your Mind by Melody’s Enemy in July and his Hiwave EP early September. Both on Sasha Carassi’s Phobiq label In November he made his debut on Secret Cinema’s Gem Records label with his Artemis EP. In December Oliver’s remix of Detection by Frank Biazzi was released on Tronic Music. PRESENT AND FUTURE 2020 Oliver starts early February with a remake of his 1995 track OASIS by his Paragliders project. It comes together with another mix by Frankyeffe on his label Riot Recordings. In March he will release his Atomo / Shinkansen EP on Spektre’s label Respekt Rec. With his releases, DJ sets and guest mixes on shows like Transitions, Tronic Radio and GEM FM he continues to cement his position at the cutting edge of contemporary music remaining a true original, a creative force and an inspiration to many. .

ELECTRONIC MUSIC Definitions Electronic music refers to music that emphasizes the use of electronic musical instruments or electronic music technology as a central aspect of the sound of the music. Basics Electronic music refers to music that emphasizes the use of electronic musical instruments or electronic music technology as a central aspect of the sound of the music. Historically electronic music was considered to be any music created with the use of electronic musical instruments or electronic processing, but in modern times, that distinction has been lost because almost all recorded music today, and the majority of live music performances, depends on extensive use of electronics. Today, the term electronic music serves to differentiate music that uses electronics as its focal point or inspiration, from music that uses electronics mainly in service of creating an intended production that may have some electronic elements in the sound but does not focus upon them. Contemporary electronic music expresses both art music forms including electronic art music, experimental music, musique concrète, and others; and popular music forms including multiple styles of dance music such as techno, house, trance, electro, breakbeat, drum and bass, industrial music, synth pop, etc. A distinction can be made between instruments that produce sound through electromechanical means as opposed to instruments that produce sound using electronic components. Examples of electromechanical instruments are the teleharmonium, Hammond B3, and the electric guitar, whereas examples of electronic instruments are a Theremin, synthesizer, and a computer. '4Room Song' Carlos Peron Remix Press Release
Carlos Peron (founder of Yello) Remixes Alex Ross-Iver Track ‘4 Room Song’ Experimental producer Alex Ross-Iver has unveiled a new remix of his track ‘4 Room Song’ from influential Swiss musician, and Yello founder, Carlos Peron. The half-Russian, half Georgian producer, has been slowly working towards the forefront of the avant-garde electro scene. Well known within the Moscow club scene, Ross-Iver’s music bridges the gap between dance and ambient. Certainly, his recent work with Icelandic composer Gisli Kristjansson - known for his work with Duffy, and Roisin Murphy (Moloko) - showcases his sound quite impeccably. The collaborative work between the two, ‘Fire Inside’ featuring vocalist Eliza Newman, reached number 17 in the Music Week Club Charts. Initially released in 2011, ‘4 Room Song’ sparked some first rate reviews. Notably the track was featured in Music Week and Ross-Iver experienced increased levels of exposure. Now, having caught the attention of Carlos Peron, Ross-Iver has seen the track remixed to create a new listening experience. Speaking of Yello, Moby has stated that their music “belongs to the most Influential and Remarkable in Electronic Music". Peron has further explored Ross-Iver’s song, bringing out the sultry vocal melodies and warm synthesisers. Seasoned Exodus The Exile Mosaic of Psyculture Feature Article Graham St John University of Queensland (Australia) Abstract Psychedelic trance music and culture (psyculture) is explored as a culture of exodus rooted in the seasonal dance party culture evolving in Goa, India, over the 1970s/1980s, and revealing a heterogeneous exile sensibility shaping Goa trance and psyculture from the 1990s/2000s. That is, diverse transgressive and transcendent expatriations would shape the music and aesthetics of Goa/psytrance. Thus, resisting circumscription under singular heuristic formulas, Goa trance and its progeny are shown to be internally diverse. This freak mosaic was seasoned by expatriates and bohemians in exile from many countries, experienced in world cosmopolitan conurbations, with the seasonal DJ-led trance dance culture of Goa absorbing innovations in EDM productions, performance and aesthetics throughout the 1980s before the Goa sound and subsequent festival culture emerged in the mid-1990s. Rooted in an experimental freak community host to the conscious realisation and ecstatic abandonment of the self, psyculture is heir to this diverse exile experience.
