Now that you have all arrived and the doors have been barred....South Belt Third Graders proudly presents Twelve ENTIRE days of Christmas! On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me A partridge in a pear tree On the second day of Christmas my true love gave to me Two turtle doves and a partridge in a pear tree On the third day of Christmas my true love gave to me Three French hens, two turtle doves and a partridge in a pear tree On the fourth day of Christmas my true love gave to me Four calling birds three French...... On the fifth day of Christmas my true love gave to me Five golden rings Four calling birds three French...... On the sixth day of Christmas my true love gave to me Six geese a laying Five golden rings Four calling birds three French...... On the seventh day of Christmas my true love gave to me Seven swans a swimming Six geese a laying 5 golden rings Four calling birds three French...... On the eigth day of Christmas my true love gave to me Eight maids a milking Seven swans a swimming Six geese a laying Five golden rings Four calling birds three French.... On the ninth day of Christmas my true love gave to me Nine ladies dancing Eight maids a milking Seven Swans a swimming Six geese a laying Five golden rings Four calling birds three French.... .. On the tenth day of Christmas my true love gave to me Ten lords a leaping Nine ladies dancing Eight maids a milking Seven swans a swimming Six geese a laying Five golden rings Four calling birds three French..... On the eleventh day of Christmas my true love gave to me Eleven pipers piping Ten lords a leaping Nine ladies dancing Eight maids a milking Seven swans a swimming Six geese a laying Five golden rings Four calling birds three French..... On the twelfth day of Christmas my true love gave to me Twelve drummers drumming Eleven pipers piping Ten lords a leaping Nine ladies dancing Eight maids a milking Seven swans a swimming Six geese a laying Five golden rings Four calling birds three French hens Two turtle doves and a Par--tridge---- in a pear tree (new music begins) Speaker 1: (girl shaking head) You gotta love those Lords A-Leapin’. Speaker 2: (sarcastically) Well, don’t let your charitable holiday spirit carry you away! Speaker 3: I think those six geese-a-layin’ looked really uncomfortable. Speaker 4: Hey! Who came up with this “Twelve Days of Christmas” stuff anyway? Speaker 5: Yeah! I thought Christmas lasted only one day a year! Speaker 6: (like a union representative) Twelve days minimum! Absolutely twelve days! Don’t let anyone talk you into anything less than twelve days! Speaker 7: That’s right! I need at least twelve days to get ready for the big event itself! I mean there’s cookies to be baked, snowmen to be built… Shopping Girl: (interrupting, frantic and bossy) Shopping! I’ve got to go SHOPPING! Speaker 8: I’ve got to learn the bell part for the Christmas caroling. Speaker 9: I haven’t even begun my exhaustive letter to Santa with my list of requests. Shopping Girl: SHOPPING! I’ve GOT to do my SHOPPING! Speaker 10: O.K. But if we’re going to celebrate twelve full days of Christmas, we’d better get crackin’! This place doesn’t look like Christmas at all! Shopping Girl: Get outta my way kid! I’ve got presents to buy! First and Second Days of Christmas On the first day of Christmas we hang the decorations Deck the halls with boughs of holly Fa la la la la la la la Tis' the season to be jolly Fa la la la la la la la Bring the presents by the armful Fa la la la la la la la Sing your favorite Yuletide carols Fa la la la la la la la Solo: See the blazing Yule before us All:Fa la la la la la la la Solo: Hang your stockings with this chorus All: Fa la la la la la la la Solo: Christmas day will bring such pleasure All: Fa la la la la la la la Solo: When we find them full of treasures All: Fa la la la la la la la la la la la la-------------- Speaker 11: It looks like a party! Speaker 12: A Christmas party! Speaker 13: I see the stockings are hung! Speaker 14: And the popcorn is strung! We've put up every decoration under the sun so it's time to rock this party with some Christmas fun! Rocking around the Christmas tree at the Christmas party hop Mistletoe hung where you can see every couple tries to stop Rocking around the Christmas tree let the Christmas spirit ring Later we'll have some pumpkin pie and we'll do some caroling You will get a sentimental feeling when you hear------ voices singing "Let's be jolly, deck the halls with boughs of holly" [clapping] Rocking around the Christmas tree have a happy holiday Rocking around the Christmas tree in the new old fashioned way! Everybody Rock! Speaker 15: Well, things are getting to look a lot like Christmas around here. Speaker 16: I like the garland and the Christmas trees best. Speaker 17: Wait a minute, wait a minute! We forgot to decorate the tree! All: Oh my gosh! etc. Speaker 18: Well, who's job was it anyway? Speaker 19: Johnny's name was on the list. Speaker 20: Where is Johnny? Has anyone seen him? All: (give various answers) Speaker 21: I remember! He was looking for a bedtime snack. Speaker 22: Well, it would help if we all could sing we could get this tree decorated in no time! On the second day of Christmas we trim the Christmas tree Oo oo oo O Christmas tree O Christmas tree, how lovely are your branches O Christmas tree O Christmas tree, how lovely are your branches Your shining star and twinkling lights Will warm the hearts of us tonight {Let's light the tree} O Christmas tree O Christmas tree How lovely are, lovely are, lovely are your branches Speaker 23: Today is the last day to get our letters to Santa if we expect him to get them by Christmas Eve! (Music starts) Third and Fourth Days of Christmas On the third day of Christmas we wrote to Santa Claus Christmas comes but once a year with presents 'round the tree When you write to Santa Claus take this tip from me When Santa Claus gets your letter you know what he will say "Have you been good, the way you should, on every single day?" When Santa Claus gets your letter to ask for Christmas toys He'll take a look in his good book he keeps for girls and boys Speaker 24: Dear Santa, I have been very good this year, except for that unfortunate incident with the tack on Susie's chair. Speaker 25: Dear Santa, Surely you wouldn't hold it against me that I broke a relatively thin baseball bat over Johnny's head...since he had it coming anyway! He'll stroke his beard, his eyes will glow and at your name he'll peer It takes a little time you know to check back one whole year! When Santa Claus gets your letter You know what he will say, "Have you been good, the way you should on every single day?" When Santa Claus gets your letter, to ask for Christmas toys, he'll take a look, in his good book, he keeps for girls and boys. When Santa Claus gets you letter, I really do believe you'll head his list Speaker 26: Here's my letter! You won't be missed Speaker 27: Don't forget my letter! by Santa on Christmas Eve. Speaker 28: Wait a minute! Wait a minute! I've got a great idea! This is the new millennium! I'll text my letter to the North Pole! On the fourth day of Christmas we send a Text to Santa Now listen up I'm gonna TEXT TEXT the facts TEXT the facts to Santa Claus Yo! It can turn a bad situation around turn it around with ease Even though I didn't mail my Santa letter (yo!) sending it by TEXT I think is even better (yo!)
