July 17, 2019 Tokyu Land Corporation Tokyu Land SC Management Corporation Grand Opening of Q Plaza IKEBUKURO July 19 (Fri), 10.30 am Ikebukuro’s Newest Landmark Tokyu Land Corporation (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Yuji Okuma; hereafter “Tokyu Land”) and Tokyu Land SC Management Corporation (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Toshihiro Awatsuji) will open Q Plaza IKEBUKURO at 10.30 am on July 19 (Fri) as Ikeburo’s newest landmark, based on Toshima Ward’s International City of Arts & Culture Toshima vision. As a new entertainment complex where people of all ages can have fun, enjoying different experiences all day long on its 16 stores, including a cinema complex, an arcade and amusement center, and retail and dining options, Q Plaza IKEBUKUO will create more bustle in the Ikebukuro area, which is currently being redeveloped, and will bring life to the district in partnership with the local community. ■Many products exclusive to Q Plaza IKEBUKURO and limited time services to commemorate opening Opening for the first time in the area as flagship store, the AWESOME STORE & CAFÉ will offer a lineup of products exclusive to the Ikebukuro store, including AWESOME FLY! PO!!! with three flavors to choose from and a tuna egg bacon omelette bagel. In commemoration of the opening, Schmatz Beer Dining will offer sausages developed by Takeshi Murakami, a sausage researcher with a workshop in Yamanashi, for a limited time only. It will also provide customers with one free beer and a 19% discount for table-only reservations to commemorate the opening of its 19th store. Customers can also look forward to a special menu at Sulbing Cafe x Shinsen, a new business format of Dessert cafe franchise Sulbing, which is attracting attention. As a limited time service to commemorate the opening, Sushi Washoku Tsukiji Nihonkai will offer some dishes such as the Special Sushi Assortment (dinner time only) and Special Chirashi Sushi (lunchtime only) for half price on July 19 (Fri). Yakiniku Black Hole will give a 290 yen lunch discount and a 2,900 yen dinner discount until July 29, in a play on the Japanese word for meat niku, which sounds like ni kyu meaning 29. 7-Eleven will also hold a discount sale for some products for three days only to commemorate the opening. ■ “Grand Cinema Sunshine Eve” event On July 18 (Thu), on the eve of the opening, Grand Cinema Sunshine, operated by the Sasaki Kogyo Group, will hold a “Grand Cinema Sunshine Eve” event with special screenings of Dunkirk in its “IMAX® Laser/GT Technology” Theater, which has the largest screen in Japan*1, and Bohemian Rhapsody in its 4DX with ScreenX auditorium, the first of its kind in Japan. Also, to commemorate the opening, customers who watched Toy Story 4, which will be released on July 19 (Fri), will be presented, on a first come, first served basis, with a Forky kit for making Forky, a new character that appears in the movie. The fifth and twelfth floors will be home to an original branded café and restaurant. Clappers Diner on the fifth floor is a café specializing in American waffles with an American Vintage concept. It is providing waffle sandwiches for movie goers to enjoy. Meanwhile, Bar Panorama, the restaurant on the twelfth floor, is an Italian bar where customers can enjoy views of the city landscape as though projected onto a movie screen. It offers a dishes that will delight both movie goers and those simply dining out.
