Also, Ireland, Iceland, Sicily (just off the “toe” if Italy), Cyprus (Below Greece). Lake - Lake Ladoga of Russia is the largest, Lake Lonega (Russia), and Lake Vanern (Sweden). Isthmus - narrow strip of land connecting two larger pieces, such as the isthmus of Corinth which connects the Peloponnesian Peninsula to the mainland. Bay - Bay of Biscay (north of Spain, west of France), Hudson Bay. Peninsula - Iberian Peninsula (Spain and surrounding land), Italian peninsula and many others. Strait - Strait of Gibraltar runs between the Iberian Peninsula and Africa. The strait of Dover is the narrow- est part of the English Channel.
