Cedric Harris tells Gino he has never heard of the Wocket and asks "are there other digital wallets- and if so how is the Wocket different?" Mr. Pereira shares how the Wocket is very different from Google Wallet and other digital wallets that are basically apps that work on a smartphone. He notes that all consumers are not quite ready for this technology, having security concerns. He goes on to explain that most consumers are quite happy paying using a credit card and how the Wocket and its card will fill the gap. It addresses all of the concerns from both the consumer and the retailer, as a lot of retailers are not set up for adoption of the app technology. Mr. Pereira also discusses in the interview that 50% of consumers surveyed are not comfortable putting their payment information on a smartphone. He explains how the Wocket's biometrically secure technology; all separate from a smartphone prevents payment and identity theft.

    Snow/Ice: Is School Open or Closed? Birdville ISD is dedicated to the safety of students and staff. With the onset of winter, and the threat of snow and ice, it is important for the BISD community to understand how the decision is made regarding delaying or closing school. When the threat of snow or ice is forecast, BISD’s superintendent, associate superintendents and the director of transportation have established a plan to determine whether schools will be open, delayed or closed. The district attempts to make a decision about delaying or closing as soon as possible. If the superintendent determines to delay or close school, the district’s phone calling system will be activated and the major radio and television stations will be notified. Also, the district will post this information on the district’s Web site, Facebook, Twitter and B-News. BISD only posts these notifications if school is delayed or closed— not if it is open as usual. If school is in session or if it is delayed and parents do not feel that it is safe to transport their child to school, it is their right as parents to keep them home. If students do not provide a parent note, their absence will not be excused. The COMPLIANCE CRITERIA immediately follows. Hazards Analyses of all Tampa Bay LEPC District facilities have been placed on a schedule so that they are now current for the preceding fiscal year. Analyses are conducted on a July to June cycle, performing 50 percent of the county’s total facilities one year and the remaining 50 percent during the following year. Each year is further divided with the first 50 percent (25 percent of the county’s total facilities) being due by November 1st annually and the second 50 percent (25 percent of the county’s total facilities) being due by February 1st annually.
