The right city must have a talented workforce, a passion for innovation, a commitment to diversity and inclusion, and environmentally-friendly and sustainable design. Chesapeake Bayhawks Beat Denver Outlaws 14-13 Posted by TBN On 05/08/2011 Annapolis, MD. - The Chesapeake Bayhawks of Major League Lacrosse (MLL) hosted the Denver Outlaws in a tightly contested pre-season game Saturday evening at Anne Arundel Community College in Arnold, MD. After trailing the entire game, the Bayhawks scored two goals in the final minute to complete the come back and win 14-13. The Bayhawks were led by Blake Miller’s three goal effort which included the game tying goal.“It was a great team effort tonight,” said Bayhawks Head Coach Brendan Kelly following the victory. “I was happy to see how we came out in the second half. Everybody really came together and we jelled as a team. Just a really great effort.” The Outlaws opened the game drawing first blood in the early minutes. The Bayhawks responded with their first goal from Midfielder Michael Kimmel, but Denver countered with three straight goals to take a 4-1 lead. Chesapeake cut the lead in half with the first of Miller’s three goals to close out the first quarter trailing 4-2. Miller continued to keep the Bayhawks in the game with his second goal early in the second frame. Miller is one of the Bayhawks newest arrivals as the Bayhawks selected him from the player pool in April. The second quarter was back and forth as both teams found their scoring touch. The half closed with a goal from Kimmel in the final five seconds to bring the game to 8-5. Chesapeake continued to chip away in the third quarter, closing the score to 10-9.

  • Coronavirus Uncertainty Necessitates Big3 Schedule Changes
CORONAVIRUS UNCERTAINTY NECESSITATES BIG3 SCHEDULE CHANGES Out of an abundance of caution, six weeks of the 2020 summer season are being moved to an intimate, controlled Los Angeles venue to be announced to ensure the safety of our players, coaches, and fans Dates presently being promoted, marketed and on presale - June 20 (Memphis), June 27 (New York), and August 22 (Portland) - are scheduled to currently go on as planned with BIG3 working collaboratively with local and federal health officials Los Angeles (March 11, 2020) — It is no secret that COVID-19 is escalating in the United States and BIG3 cannot simply bury its head in the sand, merely hoping for it to go away. Since starting the league, BIG3 leaders have often been faced with unexpected obstacles and have solved them by turning to our core values to generate solutions in innovative, pro-active ways. Our values demand we prioritize the health, welfare, and safety of our growing community of players, coaches, and fans over short-term self-serving financial goals. At the same time, we also need to balance preservation of the league, continue to build on its momentum, and bring joy and happiness as well as world class professional competition to the greatest number of our fans. Unfortunately, Covid-19 has led us to the conclusion that to best balance these core objectives we will disappoint a minority of our fans but it will allow us to create a unique and special viewing experience for the vast majority of our millions of fans watching on TV and online from a single safe and intimate location in Los Angeles.
