Follow the A3400 south into A3400 into Wootton Wawen. Stratford-Upon-Avon From the SOUTH: Leave the M40 at Junction 15 and head towards Stratford-Upon-Avon along the A46. Travel along the A46 for approximately 6 miles and at the roundabout crossing the A3400 head north (towards Henley-in-Arden and Mary Arden’s House). Follow the A3400 for just over 4 miles until you arrive in Wootton Wawen. Directions from WOOTTON WAWEN: Turn off the A3400 at The Bulls Head pub (signposted for Great Alne & Wootton Park) on to the Alcester Road (B4089). After 300m (just after the school) take the left turn signposted toward Great Alne & Wootton Park (the road is still called the Alcester Road B4089). Follow this road for 3/4 mile (past a church and out of the village) until you reach the entrance of Wootton Park on the right hand side. The drive will lead you towards The Great Barn and the main car park. By Rail The nearest station is Wootton Wawen on the Birmingham Moor Street to Stratford-Upon-Avon line. The station is a request to stop station, so you will need to push the button on the train or hold your hand out on the platform to stop the train. Trains run approximately every 30 minutes (depending upon the time and day). The distance from the station to Wootton Wawen is approximately 1.5 miles. Please take care on the country lanes as there is no paved footpath beyond the village. Bagot to Robert and Ann, as he died on 13 Oct 1701 at (Richard’s parents unknown) Morton Bagot. The death is not in the parish record but Who was this Richard? Is it the same Richard who married twice? Having two William and two Sarah is in the Bishop’s Transcript, which shows the burial of children alive at the same time is unusual for this to be the case, although not impossible. “Richard, son of Robert and Ann”. The events on this tree have all been verified against the parish records and secondary evidence (witnesses at weddings etc) as far as is practically possible, but are not guaranteed. UPDATE ON SPERNAL The Parish Council has still not yet received the engrossed copy of the S106 Agreement from LANE DEVELOPMENT solicitors. Whilst planning permission has now been granted by Stratford on Avon District Council (SDC) to Linfoot Country Homes Ltd, this has resulted in a delay in the land acquisition and it is unlikely that work will commence on site until January 2018.
