XDD Summer Love 2011 )) This album honestly began because of a “mistake” that I made while looking for a song on the hard drive of Rushuna-Haruhi: The Success Machine. (My Hewlett-Packard m7170n Media Center Desktop PC ^_^) Between 2002 when I first began Darton College and 2005 when I departed Darton College and began creating the original music album “It’s Go Time Baby, Your Place Is The Dance Floor!” (prior to “DJ Edition”) I had begun accumulating and ordering music on the family computer. (prior to departing my birth home.) There was a folder that I had named “Dealing With Music” which is where I placed all new music that I put onto the family computer. (Rushuna-Haruhi: The Success Machine is not the home family computer. Keep reading. ^_^) Even music that existed initially only on physical CDs that I had purchased (this was before YouTube or Google if you can imagine it…) – when the music was ripped from CDs and placed onto the computer hard drive – the songs went into this folder inside of their own sub-folder which usually contained the name of the album. thanks to the invention of USB external Hard drives, any computer that I have ever had the pleasure of owning or utilizing has had the ability to have this folder. Rushuna-Haruhi: The Success Machine (my very first computer ever purchased in my name) – was the first of my computers to take on and “inherent” this file folder full of music. -

Abstract approved:_____________________________________________________ Ryann Reynolds-McIlnay The rise of digital streaming has largely impacted the way the average listener consumes music. Consequentially, while the role of album art has evolved to meet the changes in music technology, it is hard to measure the effect of digital streaming on modern album art. This research seeks to determine whether or not graphic design still plays a role in marketing information about the music, such as its genre, to the consumer. It does so through two studies: 1. A computer visual analysis that measures color dominance of an image, and 2. A mixed-design lab experiment with volunteer participants who attempt to assess the genre of a given album. Findings from the first study show that color scheme models created from album samples cannot be used to predict the genre of an album. Further findings from the second theory show that consumers pay a significant amount of attention to album covers, enough to be able to correctly assess the genre of an album most of the time. -

WEGART NOVINKY DECEMBER 2008 – 2. čas ť Autumnist (predtým Abuse) – The Autumnist (Deadred) Po štyroch rokoch prichádza autor kritikou i posluchá čmi ceneného opusu The Great Outdoors s novým albumom. Zárove ň prichádza s novým pseudonymom The Autumnist . V tvorbe Abuse sme boli zvyknutí na kríženie rôznych hudobných prvkov a nie je to inak ani tu. Nápad da ť v jednej piesni dohromady reggae rytmiku, pseudo-klarinet, operu a val čík znie prinajmenšom podozrivo, ale tento nezvy čajný neporiadok je na novom albume použitý nenápadne, rafinovane a úplne funk čne. Všetky prvky tejto podivuhodnej koláže sú podriadené až takmer pies ňovej forme skladieb a, ako bolo už u Abuse zvykom, starostlivo vystavanej atmosfére. The Autumnist využíva ove ľa menej samplingu, jadro rytmiky tvoria živé bicie a basgitara, pribudlo množstvo true-analogových syntezátorových melodických oblúkov. The Autumnist sa pohybuje v akomsi bez časí, kde sa jeho staromilské maniere - fúkacia harmonika, trúbka, zvonkohra alebo akordeón – stretávajú s nadšením pre sú časnú hudbu. To platí o takmer dubstepovo zafarbenej skladbe The Shore, v ktorej autor znovu spolupracuje s hos ťujúcou vokalistkou Tracy Miller, ale aj o zvyšku albumu, kde dostávajú priestor glitche, naivné grime zvuky či post-rockový chlad. Máme v predaji obmedzený po čet limitovanej edície s odznakom a 4 nálepkami. Album oficiálne vychádza v januári 2009.
