DATE PROJECT INVOLVEMENT September 2011 The Unlikely Leopard Music composition for this documentary, JB’s Documentary 8th collaboration with Dereck and Beverly Joubert, from Wildlife Films Broadcast on National Geographic

July-August 2011 Absa National Choir Festival Music Director for the third year running.

May 2011 Wouter Kellerman’s “Two JB Produced the album that won Best Voices” album Instrumental Album at the 17th South African Music Awards. Mixed in Los Angeles with S. Husky Hoskulds, Grammy Award-winning engineer.

October 2010 “The Last Lions” feature film Co-composes the score for “The Last Lions” a National Geographic feature film, with Hollywood composer Alex Wurman (March of the Penguins, The Switch, Temple Grandin). In September 2011 the score for the film wins “Best Music” at the World Wildlife Film Festival at Jackson Hole, Wyoming, USA

July 2010 Absa National Choir Festival Music Director and Composer of the prescribed song for the 2010 Festival. Embarked on trips around , working with regional choirs participating in the Festival

July 2010 FIFA World Cup 2010 Together with Victor Masondo, Sibongile Khumalo & Alexis Faku, JB produced all music for the World Cup Closing Ceremony.

February 2010 Mnet’s Carte Blanche JB revised and produced all music for three Carte Blanche shows - Carte Blanche Domestic, Carte Blanche Medical and Carte Blanche Consumer on M-Net.

2006-2010 Strictly Come Dancing TV series Music Director for five successful seasons on SABC

October 2009 FIFA World Cup Final Draw Composed and produced all music for the Final Draw, held on December 4th 2009 in Cape Town & live on TV to a worldwide audience of 2,5 billion.

May 2009 Absa National Choir Festival Music Director and Composer of the prescribed song for the festival. JB also conducted the mass choir at their gala event.

2009 “Monna Wa Mmino: The Mike Composed the score for the feature based on Masote Story”, feature film & 4- the life story of Mike Masote, creator of the part TV series Soweto String Quartet

2006 “Eye of the Leopard”, one hour Composed the score for these Dereck and show. Beverly Joubert documentaries through Wildlife Films. “Living with Big Cats”, one hour show. “Eye of the Leopard”, won Best Nature Film at the Jules Verne Film Festival in Paris, Best Broadcast on National Film at Jackson Hole, and an Emmy Award for Geographic Best Science and Nature program in 2007

2006 “Dangerous Companions”, one Wrote and composed the score for the show hour show with 50/50.

2005 Watershed, SA Pop/Rock band As a freelance producer, JB produced Watershed’s 2005 album “Mosaic” which went platinum shortly after release, & won “Best Pop Album” at the 2007 SAMA Awards.

2005 “Young Animals at Play”, a one Wrote and composed the score for the show hour show with Peartree Films, Wildlife Filmmakers.

2001 - current Formed new independent label Instinct Africaine signings & productions “Instinct Africaine” with include: Freshlyground, Thembi Mtshali, partner Victor Masondo Ntombethongo, PJ Powers, Carlo Mombelli, Wambali, Tony Cox & Steve Newman

Freshlyground’s debut album “Nomvula” is multi-platinum, a SAMA award-winner. In 2007 they became the 1st SA artistes to win an MTV Europe Award. Their 2007 release, “Ma’cheri” sold multi-platinum & won four SAMA awards in 2008, including “Album of the Year”

JB, Sibusiso Masondo and Zwai Bala produced “Heartlines”, the soundtrack to the TV series. This was a multi-artiste collaboration featuring Loyiso, Sibongile Khumalo, Gloria Bosman, Jabu Hlongwane.
