  • OPEN LETTER to REPUBLICAN NATIONAL COMMITTEE CHAIR REINCE PRIEBUS Where Does the GOP Stand on Gay Bashing?
OPEN LETTER TO REPUBLICAN NATIONAL COMMITTEE CHAIR REINCE PRIEBUS Where Does the GOP Stand on Gay Bashing? Dear Mr. Priebus, Fifteen years ago, your predecessor called for party members to shun the Council of Conservative Citizens because of the group’s “racist views.”1 “A member of the party of Lincoln should not belong to such an organization,” GOP Chairman Jim Nicholson said.2 His comments had their intended effect: Senior members of Congress distanced themselves from the group. Today, Chairman Priebus, we ask that you take a similar stand and call upon Republican officials to disassociate themselves from the groups behind the upcoming Values Voter Summit. The reason is simple: These groups engage in repeated, groundless demonization of LGBT people — portraying them as sick, vile, incestuous, violent, perverted, and a danger to the nation. The Family Research Council, the summit’s host, is vigorously opposed to extending equal rights to the LGBT community. Its president, Tony Perkins, has repeatedly claimed that pedophilia is a “homosexual problem.”3 He has called the “It Gets Better” campaign — designed to give LGBT students hope for a better tomorrow — “disgusting” and a “concerted effort” to “recruit” children into the gay “lifestyle.” 4 He has condemned the National Republican Congressional Committee for supporting three openly gay candidates.5 Bryan Fischer of the American Family Association, a summit sponsor, has said the U.S. needs to “be more like Russia,” which enacted a law criminalizing the distribution of LGBT “propaganda.”6 He also has said, “Homosexuality gave us Adolph Hitler, and homosexuals in the military gave us the Brown Shirts, the Nazi war machine, and six million dead Jews.”7 Similarly, Mat Staver of the Liberty Counsel, another summit sponsor, has compared those who do not denounce same-sex marriage to those who remained silent during the Holocaust.

http://www.clearcreekrw.org/ P.O. Box 2171 League City, Tx 77454 Political Advertising paid for by Clear Creek Republican Women Happy New Year! I hope everyone welcomed the New '20s decade with a BANG! As Republicans, we have talked about 2020 for a long time. We must be bold and get the word out about how important the 2020 Election will be for Texas and our nation. Now is the time to come together. We can no longer stand around the water cooler and just talk about politics. We have work to do by helping our Republican Candidates at the grass roots level. We are hopeful to keep Texas and the White House Red. In pop culture, every new decade throughout time brings us new trends and integral turning points of history. In the 80's it was BIG hair. The 90's rocked on with the “Grunge” era. The 2000's was the dawn of social media and the 2010's brought us the coveted iPhone. I hope when we look back at the '20's it will trend a sea of Red in the state of Texas and Red in Washington DC. Our nation as we have known it is in jeopardy. The conservative point of view has gradually evolved and not for the better. It should concern us all greatly if Blue becomes the majority. As Republicans, we must be united and fight fiercely to hold true to our values. My hope is that everyone in our club will commit to having a positive effect on a Republican candidate's campaign.

  • Reverendly Speaking Pursue Righteousness, Godliness, Faith, Love, Endurance, Gentleness
St. Andrew's Episcopal Church Honoring the Past — Embracing the Future! Downtown Tampa, Florida October 2019 Reverendly Speaking Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, gentleness. 1 Timothy 6:11 Dear People of St. Andrew’s, “Mr. Clean,” the bald, muscular, earring-bedazzled and immaculately dressed icon of all things shiny and scrubbed turns 61 this year. Since 1958, America has become accustomed to seeing him show up in com- mercials helping someone make things spic-and-span with his patented formula. And in these 60-some years, he hasn’t aged much. He wears a white shirt, has white eyebrows, his arms are folded. He looks like a very clean bouncer at a nightclub — not a male version of a charwoman. Anyway — Mr. Clean’s solvent was originally created as an alternative to the caustic fluids that had previ- ously been used for cleaning ships. Perhaps that’s why Mr. Clean looks like a guy who’s just stepped off of a squeaky-clean Navy ship in port from some exotic locale. Keeping things clean has always been costly, not only in terms of the various goos, potions and wipes we use but also in terms of elbow grease. Dirt and grime have a tendency to accumulate quickly, and it takes a diligent, determined and daily effort to scrub, scour, sweep, mop, dust and wipe down all things domes- tic. The same is true for our spiritual lives. Left unattended, our lives tend to accumulate a lot of harmful gunk that can really gum up the works and make it difficult for us to live freely and cleanly as God intend- ed.
