Charities: The Orpheus Centre is situated in Godstone and is a college which was part founded by Sir Richard Stilgoe in 1997. It has up to 28 disabled students aged between 18 and 25, living in independent flats, plus 20 day students. The emphasis is on performing arts, but other subjects are covered as well. The South East Cancer Help Centre at Purley helps people cope with cancer. Patients can self-refer although their GP or consultant may tell them about us. The centre provides complimentary therapies such as massage, reiki, talking therapies, and cancer type specific support groups. They also hold weekly group activities such as yoga, singing and tai chi. They can also offer advice from nutritionists and CAB. If you or a loved one is dealing with cancer they can help.

Cantilena Singers set up as an independent choir in 2003. Its friendly and enthusiastic members perform a wide and varied repertoire, from arrangements of popular songs to more traditional music. We welcome new members. If you would like to find out about the choir singing at a fundraising event for your group or charity, or would like to join us please call Jill Kilsby (07957 627783) or for more details visit cantilenasingerscroydon.org.uk
