After its huge success in the past three years, the colourful Legends of Lion Dance exhibition will return to the Bibliotheek Permeke (a public library) in Antwerp on 10 January – 2 February 2020, with the support of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Brussels.

This spectacular exhibition is organised by Tofoe Asian Events, a non-profit making organisation created by Hong Kong second-generation community members in Antwerp, to showcase Hong Kong’s cultural heritage, traditional crafts and opera to celebrate the Chinese New Year. Around 15 unique lion heads made and embroidered in Hong Kong will be on show. Visitors will learn how lion heads are made and how this traditional craft has been passed down generations of artisans in Hong Kong, as well as the legends and stories associated with the lion dance and with Chinese New Year.
