1. $hortI'itle and Gommencement: (i) Theserules may be calledthe Andamanand NicobarAdministration (Peon) (Amendment)Rules, 201 0. (ii)They shall come into force on thedate of theirpublication in theOfficial Gazette.

2" Numberof Posts,Classification and PayBand & GradePayl Pay Scale: The numberof posts,their classification and the Pay Band& GradePayl Pay Scale attachedthereto, shall be specifiedin paras2 to 4 of theSchedule annexed hereto.

3" Methodof Recruitment,Age limit,Qualification: Themethod of recruitmentto the post,age limit, qualifications and other matters relating theretoshall be as specifiedat paras5 to 15of thesaid .

4. Disqualification:No person- (i) Who hasentered into or contracteda marriagewith a personhaving a spouseliving, or (ii) Who, havirrga spouseliving, has enteredinto or contracteda marriagewith any person, shallbe eligiblefor appointment to thesaid post:

Providedthat the Lt.Governor, A & N lslands,if satisfiedthat such marriage is permissible underthe personallaw appficableto suchperson and otherparty to the marriageand thereare othergrounds for doing,exempt any person from the operation of thisrule. _ . _:l tnr uDn
