Belgavi as a delegate and chaired a scientific session.
Dr. P. R. Manvikar, Professor and HOD, was invited as a guest faculty for Pune Anaesthesia Course PRAC
2017, conducted by Department of Anaesthesiology, Sancheti Hospital, Pune and Academy of Regional

Department of Community Medicine
Dr Ayushi Agrawal and Dr Atul Desale were selected for MECOR (Methods in Epidemiological, Clinical and
Operational Research) held at Mahabalipuram, Tamilnadu from 24 – 29th April 2017.
1. The MECOR Program is an intensive one week course for physicians and related health care professionals funded
both nationally and internationally by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), American Thoracic Society
(ATS), Centre of Disease Control (CDC) Atlanta, Public Health Institute (PHI) USA.
2. Airfare, boarding and lodging was all sponsored by the above mentioned agencies.
3. A total of 22 participants were selected from premiere institutes all over the country for the workshop.
4. Both Dr Ayushi and Dr Atul have cleared Level 1 and have been recommended for Level 2 which will be held next
year in 2018.
Department of Urology
Dr. V. P. Sable, and resident, Dr. Prasun Pramanik, and Dr. Ashwani Kandari had participated in the conference, which was organized by Gujarat Urological Association at Ahmadabad. from 3rd to 4th June 2017.

Dr. Shailaja Mane, Professor has received a award of “Mrs Brave” as a subtitle of a beauty pagent “Mrs India
She is India 2017”. It was as a part of “Mrs Universe 2017”.
This Grand finale was held in Hotel Umrao, New Delhi from 25th May 2017 to 28th May 2017. Her short film on
“Domestic Violence” was very well appreciated.
