    A Nuffield Farming Scholarships Trust UK Report Award sponsored by AHDB Beef and Lamb Communicating carbon reduction schemes to farmers; busting preconceptions, driving efficiency and profit Becky Willson July 2017 NUFFIELD NUFFIELD FARMING SCHOLARSHIPS TRUST (UK) TRAVEL AWARDS “Nuffield” travel awards give a unique opportunity to stand back from your day to day occupation and to study a subject of interest to you. Academic qualifications are not essential but you will need to persuade the Selection Committee that you have the qualities to make the best use of an opportunity that is given to only a few – approximately 20 each year. Awards are open to those who work in farming, growing, forestry, or otherwise in the countryside, and sometimes to those working in ancillary industries, or are in a position to influence those who do. You must be resident in the UK. The normal age range is 25 to 45 but at least one younger candidate each year will receive an Award. You must have spent at least 2 years working in a relevant industry in the UK. Pre- and post-graduate students are not eligible for an Award to support their studies. The Nuffield Arden Award is unique in that there is no age restriction and the subject is set by the Selection Committee. An Arden Award is offered every 2 years.
