While professional football contains many strong similarities across different leagues, it is also clear that distinct differences exist and StatsBomb was able to draw them out by evaluating datasets for each league. ● Open Play: The Danish Superliga has kept pace with the Premier League in terms of goals, shots, and expected goals volumes, yet both leagues sit below the more action packed Bundesliga. There is also a lessened disparity between the top and bottom Danish teams in comparison to the other leagues. ● Set Pieces: Danish teams score more goals from set pieces than their counterparts in the Premier League and Bundesliga. This includes direct free kicks, corners or indirect free kicks and especially throw ins. The last of which they utilise to a notable extent. Weaker teams across all leagues rely heavily on set pieces, however stronger teams in Denmark get more out of them than their English and German peers. ● Passing: All leagues are moving towards a shorter passing, possession focused approach. Yet the Danish Superliga overall remains a more direct competition. Danish teams also use the wide areas more for creating chances. ● Age: The average age of players in the Danish Superliga is younger than the Premier League and, to a lesser extent, the Bundesliga.

    Abstract The purpose of this thesis is to understand the concept of brand image in the context of the best tournament of professional football in Denmark - Alka Superliga. Kotler (2001) states that brand image can be defined as: “The set of beliefs, ideas and impressions that a person holds regarding an object” (p. 273), and this view have led to an examination of the image of the Alka Superliga. However, during our research in the theoretical framework of a brand image, we learned that the statement by Kotler (2001) needed to be unfolded further to incorporate a two-sided aspect of the concept. We argue that one side of the notion is to reveal the desired image of the brand through Divisionsforeningen’ set of beliefs, ideas and impressions expressed in their positioning and the associations they want to connect with the brand. Simultaneously, we discover the brand from the perspective of the perceived set of beliefs, ideas and impression reflected in the associations held by the consumers. This emphasize that the definition of the brand image of Alka Superliga is to be interpreted from a perspective related to the Divisionsforeningen and a perspective related to the consumers. In order for define the brand image of Alka Superliga we divide the thesis in two parts: One part focusing on the perspective of Divisionsforeningen conceptualized as Desired Brand Image and another focusing on the perspective of consumers conceptualized as Perceived Brand Image. Dividing the thesis in terms of the desired and the perceived brand image implied that the empiricism of the thesis should treat both perspectives emphasizing that different Qualitative and Quantitative empirical collection techniQues is applied.

Finansiering & Regnskab ___________________________________________ No. of characters: 210.145 No. of figures: 47 No. of standardised pages: 109 Introduction 2 Executive Summery The purpose of this thesis was to analyse a selection of football stocks and their connection with different business models and a comparable stock index over the five year period from 2006 to 2010. The stock prices of football stocks have fluctuated a great deal, only two stocks managed to beat the comparable index between 2006 and 2008. From 2008 to 2010 no stocks proved to do considerably better than the comparable index. There is a high demand for the five football stocks since they are traded more than the comparable index over the past year. Meanwhile, the companies behind the five football shares have lost a great deal of the investor‟s capital. A statistical analysis proved that there was a correlation between the five football stocks, however from a practical perspective there was none. Accounting analysis of the selected clubs revealed a tendency towards spending every penny earned to achieve maximum success which caused the clubs to use different strategies. In an effort to understand the nature of the clubs, a model containing four different strategies was developed and applied to the clubs. There is no indication of a superior strategy or connection between the clubs‟ selected strategy and financial achievements.

Det havde givet mening at skifte, da det gik skævt i starten af turneringen, men hvad kan Kim Poulsen udrette? Han kan skabe en bedre organisation. Han kan vinde nogle kampe, men han kan ikke redde Silkeborg fra nedrykning. Søren Jochumsen (t.h.) håber, at Klaus Rønslev og Base Erhvervs idé om at give en del af omsætningen i 2015 til AC Horsens vil få andre SILKEBORG HAR TIDLIGERE haft gode trænere. In doing so, existing theory was explored regarding motives associated to sponsorship in sports, criteria for sponsorship evaluation and measurement and the influence of fans regarding sponsorships. In the following phase, data were collected among sponsors, football clubs and football related external companies. The findings were analysed in order to examine how the Danish football sponsorship market relates to the explored theory. Envisioning to obtain a solid data collection, in-depth interviews were conducted with 7 persons from 6 football clubs and with 2 football related external companies and an online survey was sent to 39 companies located in Denmark (27 valid responses were obtained). The results obtained support the literature in various aspects, However, some important discrepancy is identified concerning two topics, namely: Sponsorships motives, where football clubs and football related external companies describe the importance of networking with other companies, as a key motive for driving sponsorship decisions and the limited evaluation and measurement approaches used in sponsorships, with individuals´ gut feeling being the method most commonly adopted to evaluate results.
