DEPARTAMENT MONITORINGU W ARSZAWA 2012 Departament Monitoringu Analiza została wykonana na podstawie danych Nielsen Audience Measurement, badanie na reprezentatywnej próbie ludności Polski powyżej 4 roku życia. Wielkość populacji - 35 722 tysiące osób; wielkość próby - 4 009 osób. Słowniczek terminów używanych w analizie: • AMR - Average Minute Rating- dosł. średnia oglądalność minutowa - wskaźnik opisujący średnią wielkość widowni oglądającej konkretną audycję lub program telewizyjny w dowolnie określonym odcinku czasu. Widownia ta wyrażona jest w tys. osób. Wskaźnik może odnosić się do całej populacji lub do określonej grupy celowej. • ATV – dobowy czas oglądania telewizji przypadający na statystycznego Polaka • ATS – czas poświęcony na oglądanie danego programu przez widza w ciągu doby • SHR% - udział w widowni - odsetek widzów, którzy oglądali audycję bądź program w stosunku do wszystkich widzów oglądających w tym czasie telewizję • RCH% - zasięg, odsetek osób, które oglądały dany program przez co najmniej jedną minutę. Osoba, która oglądała program dłużej jest wliczana tylko raz. 2 Departament Monitoringu W II kwartale 2012 roku statystyczny Polak oglądał telewizję przez 3 godziny 51 minut dziennie tj. o 5 minut dłużej niż w analogicznym okresie roku ubiegłego. Zwiększyła się również średnia widownia minutowa całej telewizji z 5 mln 602 tys. do 5 mln 728 tys. Programem o najwyższym udziale w rynku był Program 1 TVP. Drugie miejsce należało do TVN, a trzecie do Polsatu. Programy te osiągnęły zbliżone udziały, a od Jedynki dzieliło je ok. 2 punkty procentowe. Czwarte miejsce w rankingu zajmowała TVP2. Pozostałe osiągały znacznie mniejsze udziały. Ponad ¼ rynku zajmowały razem programy, których udziały nie przekraczały 1% (na wykresie kategoria „Pozostałe”).

The new Agreement replaced the license agreements between the parties, hitherto in force, including license agreements concerning distribution of TV Polsat channels, on which the Company informed in the current report no. 6/2010 dated February 18, 2010. According to the Agreement, the Company will continue to distribute television channels broadcasted by Telewizja Polsat, including: Polsat (in HD and SD version), Polsat2, Polsat News, Polsat Play, Polsat Cafe, Polsat Futbol, Polsat Film, Polsat Sport, Polsat Sport HD, Polsat Sport Extra and Polsat Sport News. Additionally, the Agreement regulates technical aspects of the Company’s cooperation with Telewizja Polsat. According to the Agreement, the Company will provide technical services to Telewizja Polsat (including transmission and coding of some channels broadcasted by Telewizja Polsat). The Agreement was concluded for indefinite period. For distributing the channels abovementioned, the Company will pay the Licensor a monthly flat fee expressed in Polish zlotys. For technical services, the Company will receive from Telewizja Polsat monthly remuneration, depending on the scope of services provided in a given month, expressed in Polish zlotys. Other conditions of the Agreement do not vary from the market standards applied in such agreements.

Gundersen May 1, 2014 Professor Richard Linowes – Kogod School of Business University Honors Spring 2014 Gundersen 1 Abstract The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship ESPN has with the sports broadcasting industry. The study focuses on future prospects for the industry in relation to ESPN and its most prominent rival Fox Sports. It introduces significant players in the market aside from ESPN and Fox Sports and goes on to analyze the current industry conditions in the United States and abroad. To explore the future conditions for the market, the main method used was a SWOT analysis juxtaposing ESPN and Fox Sports. Ultimately, the study found that ESPN is primed to maintain its monopoly on the market for many years to come but Fox Sports is positioned well to compete with the industry behemoth down the road. In order to position itself alongside ESPN as a sports broadcasting power, Fox Sports needs to adjust its time horizon, improve its bids for broadcast rights, focus on the personalities of its shows, and partner with current popular athletes. Additionally, because Fox Sports has such a strong regional persona and presence outside of sports, it should leverage the relationship it has with those viewers to power its national network.
