PENNY International, as part of the REWE Group, together with European Food Banks Federation to contribute to SDG Target 12.3: 50% reduction in food waste

PENNY International, the international discount division of the REWE Group represented by PENNY Market, joins forces with the European Food Banks Federation (FEBA) to reduce food waste for a social purpose. The newly signed partnership is in line with the SDG Target 12.3, which aims to halve per capita global food waste at the and consumer levels by 2030.

PENNY already collaborates with FEBA members in several countries: the signature of this agreement confirms the commitment to consolidate the collaboration between the retailer and the European Food Banks Federation. PENNY International together with FEBA wants to strengthen and better structure the process of food donation not only to reduce food waste and improve the sustainability of its business, but also to have a positive impact on our community, contributing to the reduction of food insecurity in Europe, and on the environment.
