René LaSpina Named VP/General Manager Of WSMV News 4 In Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn., Jan. 7, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Meredith Corporation (NYSE:MDP; www.meredith.com) announced today that it has named René LaSpina Vice President and General Manager of WSMV News 4, its NBC aliate in Nashville, TN, eective immediately. LaSpina brings more than 20 years of management experience to the position.

Prior to joining Meredith, LaSpina served as General Manager and President of WIVB/WNLO-TV in Bualo, NY. She also held General Manager positions at WCCO-TV in Minneapolis, MN; WPTY/WLMT/WJKT-TV in Memphis, TN; WTEN-TV in Albany, NY; and WNEP-TV in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, PA.

LaSpina received her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources from the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania and completed an executive education program at Dartmouth College's Tuck School of Business.
