Amazon's First Original Live-Action Kids Series Gortimer Gibbon's Life Amazon’s First Original Live-Action Kids Series Gortimer Gibbon’s Life on Normal Street is Now Available on Amazon Prime Instant Video in the UK December 19, 2014 First six episodes of inaugural greenlit project from Amazon Studios’ open-door pilot submissions process now available Created by David Anaxagoras and executive produced by Academy Award winner Luke Matheny, Gortimer Gibbon’s Life on Normal Street stars Sloane Morgan Siegel, Ashley Boettcher, Drew Justice, and Robyn Lively LONDON — 19th December 2014 — Amazon today announced the first six episodes of its first original live-action kids series aimed at children ages 6 to 11, Gortimer Gibbon’s Life on Normal Street , are now available on Prime Instant Video in the UK. Created by first-time writer David Anaxagoras and executive produced by Oscar winner Luke Matheny (God of Love), Gortimer Gibbon’s Life on Normal Street stars Sloane Morgan Siegel (Partners), Ashley Boettcher (Aliens in the Attic), Drew Justice (The Little Rascals Save the Day), and Robyn Lively (Saving Grace, Twin Peaks). The series is a coming-of-age tale of friendship that centers around Gortimer (Siegel) and the bond with his two best friends Ranger (Justice) and Mel (Boettcher), as they chronicle their adventures on Normal Street—an ordinary suburban neighborhood that has a hint of something unexpected just beneath the surface. Gortimer Gibbon’s Life on Normal Street is the first kids series to receive a greenlight from Amazon Studios’ open-door pilot submissions process. Anaxagoras, a preschool teacher, was one of many aspiring filmmakers and screenwriters who submitted their ideas for original series through AmazonStudios.com, and whose concept moved forward as a pilot that debuted on Amazon Instant Video last February. Inviting the audience in early at the pilot stage, the project received positive feedback from customers and ultimately received a full season order. Amazon Prime members can add Gortimer Gibbon’s Life on Normal Street to their Watchlist and easily access new episodes through Prime Instant Video on more than 400 devices, including Fire tablets iPad, iPhone, Xbox, PlaySation, Wii and Wii U, amongst others, and online at www.amazon.co.uk/PIV. While the guide encompasses a wide variety of items spanning the history of film, TV and video, it does not attempt to list every reference to Shakespeare or every quote from his plays and sonnets which have over the years appeared in hundreds (if not thousands) of motion pictures and TV shows. For titles with only a marginal connection to the Bard or one of his works, the decision what to include and what to leave out was often difficult, even when based on their inclusion or omission from other reference works on the subject (see below). For example, listing every film about ill-fated lovers separated by feuding families or other outside forces, a narrative which can arguably always be traced back to Romeo and Juliet, would be a massive undertaking on its own and as such is outside of the present guide's scope and purpose. Consequently, if looking for a cinematic spin-off, derivative, plot borrowing or a simple citation, and not finding it in the guide, users are advised to contact the Moving Image Reference staff for additional information. It will be starting its 11th season on October 7th, 2015, and became the longest continually-running sci-fi show in history near the end of its 10th season.
