Taj Mahal was built by a great king called Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. This tomb was to be a symbol of his love for his queen, who is buried here. Q7. From where did Shah Jahan get the people and materials for building the Taj Mahal? Ans. People and materials from faraway places were brought to build the Taj. *The marble came from Rajasthan and the precious stones were brought from all over India and from other lands as well. Q8. Akbar was a great ruler: *Akbar allowed his people to follow their own religion and treated people of all religions equally. *Akbar was a great warrior, but he only fought those who did not peacefully accepted him as their ruler. * He valued wise and talented people and had Nine Gems or nine wise people in his court.
