MALDONADO ON FOX SPORTS 1 Melendez and Florian Serve as Analysts for UFC FIGHT NIGHT on FOX Sports 1 LOS ANGELES – The Ultimate Fighting Championship® (UFC®) returns to Brazil for UFC® FIGHT NIGHT: MIOCIC vs. MALDONADO live on FOX Sports 1 and FOX Deportes on Saturday, May 31 (10:00 PM ET), headlined by a hard-hitting five-round heavyweight matchup between No. 7-ranked Stipe Miocic (11-1) and Fabio Maldonado (21-6). In addition, the main card features the exciting conclusion of The Ultimate Fighter Brazil: Wanderlei vs. Sonnen. In the evening’s main event, Miocic looks to continue his current winning streak after scoring victories over veterans Roy Nelson and Gabriel Gonzaga in his last two fights. Maldonado moves up to heavyweight after putting together three consecutive wins at light heavyweight. In addition, the main card features both the final heavyweight and middleweight bouts from The Ultimate Fighter Brazil, with the victor in each fight earning the title The Ultimate Fighter and a six-figure contract from the UFC. Also on the UFC FIGHT NIGHT card on FOX Sports 1, the No. 8-ranked welterweight Demian Maia (18-6) faces Alexander Yakovlev (21-4-1), The Ultimate Fighter Brazil season 1 winner Rony Jason (15-4) takes on Robbie Peralta (17-4, 1NC) in a featherweight scrap, and two unbeaten lightweights square off when Elias Silverio (10-0) fights Ernest Chavez (8-0). Brian Stann and Jon Anik call all the fights live on FOX Sports 1 from the Ibirapuera Gymnasium in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Victor Dávila and Fabricio Werdum call the fights live on FOX Deportes.
