3 DAY DIVING GREAT BARRIER REEF INCLUSIONS 3 day 2 nights Live aboard, Cairns Great Barrier Reef Scuba dive Accommodation transfers from properties between Cairns City and Palm Cove 2 night’s accommodation on board vessel in twin berth cabin (bedding supplied) All meals while on board (from breakfast on first day to lunch on last day) Use of all equipment Up to 11 dives including 2 night dives Unlimited snorkeling HIGHLIGHTS Great Barrier Reef is a World Heritage–listed site and one of the natural wonders of the world There are 16 dive sites to choose from, spread over 4 reefs, providing a variety of marine life and conditions Pro Dive Cairns has 3 custom-built liveaboard dive boats with 14 twin-share and 2 double cabins, private amenities for every 2 cabins and 2 large decks START DATES Dive the Great Barrier Reef – any day except Tuesday ITINERARY – EXAMPLE DAY 1 - Diving The Outer Great Barrier Reef 05:45 Complimentary Hotel Transfer service available - Cairns and Northern Beaches 06:15 Check-In at Dive Shop, cnr Shields and Abbott streets, Cairns 07:00 Depart Cairns for 3-days 2-nights of fantastic Scuba diving/snorkelling on Australia's Great Barrier Reef 11:00 Your first dive before lunch is on "Petaj Bombie" at Milln Reef - this site is a perfect introduction to the Outer Great Barrier Reef, relaxed and varied 12:45 Lunch is served - Hearty soup with an array of fresh salads, cold meats and bread rolls 14:30 Remaining at Milln Reef, head off and discover more delights at "Petaj", once you have completed your dive the vessel moves on to the next site 16:30 After an afternoon of Snorkeling or relaxing it is time for the 3rd dive, on "Swimming Pools" with its lagoon like features, clear turquoise water, colorful corals and dazzling marine life 18:00 Dinner, the menu changes each trip, however it will be wholesome, hot and of course lots of it. Dessert is served after the night dive 19:30 Your first night dive is on once again at "Swimming Pools", however the reef comes alive, keep a close eye out for our sleeping turtles, bright crustaceans and the occasional reef shark DAY 2 - More Great Diving 07:00 The vessel moves for an early morning dive. "Whale Bombie" a large coral pinnacle separate from the reef, rising from a depth of 22m breaking at the surface. Splendid Gorgonian Fans, Giant Clams and Bump Headed Parrot fish 08:00 After your dive enjoy a hearty breakfast of cereal, fresh fruit, bacon and eggs as well as toast and spreads 10:30 After breakfast the vessel moves on to Flynn Reef, and your first dive here is on "Tracy's Bombie", a peninsula jutting out from the Northern end of the reef. "Tracy's" is a very navigable wall dive with sharks resting on the ocean floor, and walls enlivened with an abundance of marine life 11:00 Your first dive before lunch is on "Petaj Bombie" at Milln Reef - this site is a perfect introduction to the Outer Great Barrier Reef, relaxed and varied 12:00 Lunch on the second day is hot pasta with a variety of fresh salads 15:00 After lunch and a snorkel it's time to explore the endless intriguing coral mazes of "Gordons Mooring", excellent visibility, a photographic haven which ends at "Clown Fish City" 18:00 A hot dinner is served before your second night dive 19:30 Being a favorite of most divers, we remain at "Gordons Mooring" for the night dive. At night the mazes close into amazing tunnels that change at every bend. Look out for Brian the turtle, who loves sleeping under the coral ledges in the sand. DAY 3 - More Diving and Return to Cairns 06:30 The vessel is now moored at "Coral Gardens", a different wall dive with intricate corals climbing the walls, large pelagic fish and schooling Sweet lip endlessly gliding by 07:30 A Hot breakfast accompanied with fresh fruit salad, cereals and toast 09:00 After breakfast the vessel makes its last move on to either Thetford or Pellowe Reefs, Thetford is renowned for many outlying coral bommies, swim throughs and large fish life. Pellowe, for its exclusiveness, featuring pristine corals, abundance and diversity of marine life 11:00 On your last dive you re-enter at one of the above sites, your Dive Master is able to direct you in a different direction, where the sights are totally different from the last dive. When you surface freshly made sandwiches are served as the vessel heads home for Cairns 16:00 Complimentary accommodation transfers - Cairns and Northern Beaches 19.30 Join fellow passengers and crew at a local restaurant for a farewell dinner if you wish Please note, the above itinerary is a guide only, and the order of sites may change. The captain will always adapt the itinerary to the prevailing weather, tides and currents. Meals may vary slightly depending on availability of seasonal fruit and vegetables.
