2013 Lincoln MKZ Brochure ALL-NEW 2013 LINCOLN MKZ Information Provided by:ProvidedInformation Be all of you. Not one of them. Information Provided by:ProvidedInformation 2013 MKZ Smoked Quartz Metallic Tinted Clearoat. Available equipment. Lincoln.com We are not all things to all people. Therein lies the beauty. Character stands the test of time. It’s what makes certain individuals curious even though they’re experienced. Modest in spite of success. Open in a narrow-minded world. We understand. We’ve known presidents, been in the movies, and rubbed elbows with the stars. Yet we still thrive on reinventing our very singular interpretation of luxury. Here’s the latest in our long lineage of original thinking: the all-new 2013 Lincoln MKZ. Its classic split-wing grille and beautiful flowing curves, inspired by a waterfall, are merely an indication of its unique inner workings. Will you join us for the next wave? You’ll be in good company. The 2013 MKZ has 8 class-exclusive1 features, 5 of which are standard. Not surprising – innovation is nothing new to us. Back in 1938, when we introduced the split-wing grille, we not only set a new design trend, we also devised a brilliant way to enhance airflow to the engine: open, horizontal ribs. Information Provided by:ProvidedInformation Ingot Silver Metallic. Available equipment. 2013 MKZ 1Class is Luxury Midsize Sedans vs. 2012/2013 competitors. Lincoln.com Share your drive with the sky. Information Provided by:ProvidedInformation 2013 MKZ Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat. Available equipment. Lincoln.com Cityscapes, blue skies, moonbeams. You can take them with you. In less than 10 seconds, the enormous 15.2-sq.-ft. roof slides open to let them all in. No other car opens minds like this. To give you an incredibly appealing sense of spatial freedom that rivals top-down travel, we offer this class-exclusive, fully retractable panoramic roof.1 At the push of a button, the solid glass panel glides back to create a wide space that, inch for inch, is the largest effective roof opening of any modern sedan.2 For those in front, it’s like a full view into the future. For those in the rear seats, it’s a refreshing sense of unconfined comfort. Information Provided by:ProvidedInformation Light Dune. Available equipment. 2013 MKZ 1Available feature. 2 Based on effective roof opening as measured by Webasto. Lincoln.com Harmony in form and function is of utmost importance. MKZ designers were inspired by the ultimate source: nature. They studied waterfalls, flowers and animals in crafting this fresh, flowing and open interior. The science of using nature to develop man-made products is called “biomimicry.” Hold on while we remove the barriers. The open spaciousness of Lincoln MKZ is a result of what’s not there. For instance: no traditional shifter. We eliminated the intrusive knob to create a thin center console that flows gracefully through the cabin. Step back and soak in the stunning, floating dual-arch design, inspired by the shape of a calla lily. Lift your eyes to the instrument panel, and you’ll recognize the rhythmic symmetry of a manta ray. We eschewed conventional design in interior lighting as well. Illuminated front-door sill plates welcome you. Inside, rear passengers “swipe” dots of light on the ceiling to activate their reading lamps. The bulbs filter through a soft fabric headliner rather than glaring in eyes. Even the door locks are subtle, emitting a red LED glow when locked. By lifting the limits of design, we’ve elevated interactions with your car – and opened it up for more interaction with your front passenger too. Information Provided by:ProvidedInformation 2013 MKZ Light Dune. Available equipment. Lincoln.com To shift your perspective, just press the button. Tactile responses are so much more fulfilling and intuitive. Simply use your fingertips. We’ve eliminated the ignition key and clumsy shift knob. Start the car and select a gear by pressing a button on the integrated center stack. This unique design frees up the console area for a beautifully flowing instrument panel. We’ve replaced traditionally designed audio and climate control knobs as well. Instead, set your sound and temperature with beautiful lighted slider bars and a vivid LCD touch screen. From front to rear, we’ve surrounded you in rich woods and contemporary aluminum finishes that create a visually stunning environment. And advanced 10-way, front heated seats are trimmed in premium leather and finished with French seams. They embrace you with contours shaped specifically to your form. Information Provided by:ProvidedInformation 2013 MKZ Light Dune. Available equipment. Lincoln.com I-4 efficiency? Or exhilarating V6 power? You choose. Performance must feel right – in every sense. If rewarding power with fewer fill-ups appeals to you, choose the standard 2.0L EcoBoost® I-4 turbocharged direct-injection engine. It offers up to 33 mpg hwy 1 with 240 hp2 and 270 lb.-ft. of torque2 – the performance you’d expect from a 6-cylinder (FWD: 22 mpg city/33 hwy. AWD: 22 mpg city/31 hwy).1 If you prefer even more of a rush, opt for the 3.7L Ti-VCT 24-valve aluminum V6.3 It increases output to 300 hp and 277 lb.-ft. of torque, and still offers impressive economy, thanks in part to shutters in the front grille that automatically close at speed to help you slip through the air with less resistance (FWD: 19 mpg city/28 hwy. AWD: 18 mpg city/26 hwy).1 And yes, like all vehicles in the Lincoln portfolio, MKZ offers all-wheel drive.4 Information Provided by:ProvidedInformation Ingot Silver Metallic. Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat. Available equipment. 2013 MKZ 1 EPA estimated. 2Figures achieved using premium fuel. 3Available feature. 4 Not available on MKZ Hybrid. Lincoln.com A hybrid, for the select few who appreciate it. And... no additional cost. This is indeed a rare sight: At 45 mpg city/45 hwy, it’s America’s single most fuel-efficient luxury vehicle.1 The all-new 2013 MKZ Hybrid uses a new state-of-the-art lithium-ion battery for more power and less weight. In electric mode, it can run up to 62 mph. The new 2.0L Atkinson-cycle I-4 engine and electric traction motor recharge the battery while you drive. To help you get the highest fuel economy, the unique SmartGauge® with EcoGuide instrument cluster coaches you. Its vibrant vine graphics grow more lush, blooming with white apple blossoms, the more efficiently you drive. Lincoln MKZ Hybrid doesn’t have a price premium. Competitors like Lexus charge extra for their hybrid models. The 2013 Lexus ES 300h, for example, is a $2,750 additional cost over the 2013 Lexus ES 350. Information Provided by:ProvidedInformation Ingot Silver Metallic. Available equipment. 2013 MKZ 1EPA-estimated 45 city/45 hwy/45 combined mpg. Actual mileage will vary. Lincoln.com Bright and brilliant. All around. Lincoln MKZ is surrounded by dramatic LED lighting. In the rear, the distinctive taillamp bar gets the attention of other drivers, and not merely for its eye-catching design. LEDs are quicker, rising to full intensity 10 times faster than incandescent bulbs. When on, they illuminate with unexpected vibrancy. In the front, adaptive LED headlamps actually turn to follow curves as you steer into them for enhanced vision at night. Elegant LED accent lamps1 give MKZ a distinctive face that stands apart from the crowd. Tasteful chrome accents bring subtle but spectacular sparkle to the sculpted door handles, pedestal-mounted sideview mirrors, rear decklid and bright dual exhaust outlets. Information Provided by:ProvidedInformation Ingot Silver Metallic. Available equipment. 2013 MKZ 1Available feature. Lincoln.com You’ve experienced THX® at world-class cinemas, but you won’t find it in any other vehicle line. The Lincoln exclusive THX II Certified Audio System2 is specifically designed for the MKZ interior. With 14 strategically placed speakers and 700 watts of maximum power, feel free to drive to audio nirvana. Just talk or touch. It responds brilliantly in here, too. SYNC® with MyLincoln TouchTM1 driver-connect technology puts you in control of life in your car. It operates via simple voice commands and your touch, so your hands stay on the wheel and your eyes on the road. This system dials numbers and answers calls so you don’t have to pick up your phone, and it mutes other audio sources so you won’t miss a call. It plays all the music you like from a variety of sources, and with SYNC Services, it also delivers news and weather. It even navigates for you with turn-by-turn directions, and locates businesses just by name. Simple 5-way controls on the steering wheel, along with vibrant LCD gauges and a vivid 8" LCD screen in your center stack, put everything in full view.
