Mai: einzelne Papilio machaon L, Pieris rapae L, Anthocharis cardamines L, Gonepteryx rhamni L, überwinterte Agíais urticae L, Inachls io L, Nymphalis antiopa L, Polygonla c- album L, Araschnia levana L, Heodes hippothoe L, Pyrgus malvae L , Zygaena trlfolii ESP. (am 2.VII.), Cybosia mesomella L. (2.VII.), einzelne Raupen von Euthrix pota- tona L, Lasiocampa quercus L, Macrothylacla rubi L, Rhyparla purpurata L, Semlothlsa clathrata L, Xanthorhoe ferrugata L, Epirrhoe alternata O.F.Müller , einzelne Aethalura punctulata Den . & Schiff., Ematurga atomaria L, 1 dg Saturnia pavonia L. in Kopula. Erforschung von Insektenwanderungen e.V. München, download unter www.zobodat.at acetoseila (Aroga velocella Z., Lythria purpurata L). Stellenweie, unterhalb Wirlhof, alte, prächtige Juniperus communis (Argyresthia aurulentella Srr.). Vornehmlich Ainus glutinosa (Incurvaria pectinea Hw.), in deren Schutz Ribes nigrum- Sträucher Lampronia( capitella Cl ). Changes in vegetation structure can alter the physical habitat structure, thermal environment, and food available to arthropods, which play an important role in the structure and functioning of Arctic ecosystems. Not only do they provide key ecosystem services such as pollination and nutrient cycling, they are an essential food source for migratory birds. In this study I examined the relationships between the abundance, diversity, and community composition of arthropods and the height and cover of several shrub species across a tundra-shrub gradient in northwestern Alaska. To characterize nestling diet of common passerines that occupy this gradient, I used next-generation sequencing of fecal matter. Willow cover was strongly and consistently associated with abundance and biomass of arthropods and significant shifts in arthropod community composition and diversity.

Cochylini del 3 Aethes fortsat, Cochylidia, Cochylis mv. (4326-4365) Aethes cnicana (Wstw.) 13-18 mm. Længere mod syd i to generationer.

Acta zoologica cracoviensia, 46(3): 269-275, Kraków, 30 Sep., 2003 Reassessment of forewing pattern elements in Tortricidae (Lepidoptera) Józef RAZOWSKI Received: 15 March, 2003 Accepted for publication: 20 May, 2003 RAZOWSKI J. 2003. Reassessment of forewing pattern elements in Tortricidae (Lepidop- tera). Acta zoologica cracoviensia, 46(3): 269-275. Abstract. Forewing pattern elements of moths in the family Tortricidae are discussed and characterized. An historical review of the terminology is provided. A new system of nam- ing pattern elements is proposed. Key words. Lepidoptera, Tortricidae, forewing pattern, analysis, terminology. Józef RAZOWSKI, Institute of Systematics and Evolution of Animals, Polish Academy of Sciences, S³awkowska 17, 31-016 Kraków, Poland. E-mail: razowski.isez.pan.krakow.pl I. INTRODUCTION Early tortricid workers such as HAWORTH (1811), HERRICH-SCHHÄFFER (1856), and others pre- sented the first terminology for forewing pattern elements in their descriptions of new species. Nearly a century later, SÜFFERT (1929) provided a more eclectic discussion of pattern elements for Lepidoptera in general. In recent decades, the common and repeated use of specific terms in de- scriptions and illustrations by FALKOVITSH (1966), DANILEVSKY and KUZNETZOV (1968), and oth- ers reinforced these terms in Tortricidae. BRADLEY et al. (1973) summarized and commented on all the English terms used to describe forewing pattern elements. DANILEVSKY and KUZNETZOV (1968) and KUZNETZOV (1978) analyzed tortricid pattern elements, primarily Olethreutinae, dem- onstrating the taxonomic significance of the costal strigulae in that subfamily. For practical pur- poses they numbered the strigulae from the forewing apex to the base, where the strigulae often become indistinct. KUZNETZOV (1978) named the following forewing elements in Tortricinae: ba- sal fascia, subterminal fascia, outer fascia (comprised of subapical blotch and outer blotch), apical spot, and marginal line situated in the marginal fascia (a component of the ground colour).

© Entomologica Fennica. 25 February 2011 Parasitoids (Hymenoptera) of leaf-spinning moths (Lepidoptera) feeding on Vaccinium uliginosum L. along an ecological gradient in central European peat bogs Aurel I. Lozan, Karel Spitzer, Josef Jaro, Andrey Khalaim, Maria Concetta Rizzo, Emilio Guerrieri & Ale Bezdìk Lozan,A.I.,Spitzer,K.,Jaro,J.,Khalaim,A.,Rizzo,M.C.,Guerrieri,E.& Bezdìk, A. 2010: Parasitoids (Hymenoptera) of leaf-spinning moths (Lepidop- tera) feeding on Vaccinium uliginosum L. along an ecological gradient in central European peat bogs. Entomol. Fennica 21: 243253. Parasitoids of leaf-spinning Lepidoptera associated with two isolated central Eu- ropean peat bogs were investigated. Five families of parasitoid Hymenoptera (Braconidae, Ichneumonidae, Eulophidae, Pteromalidae and Encyrtidae) were recorded. Three categories were recognised: (1) primary parasitoids, (2) faculta- tive hyperparasitoids and (3) obligatory hyperparasitoids. Ten species of Braco- nidae, five species and seven marked morphospecies among Ichneumonidae, and three species of Chalcidoidea were identified. Despite of some niche-specific (but less host-specific) parasitoids, all these hymenopterans are likely to be gen- eralists and none of them were confirmed to be habitat and/or host specialists. Unlike their eurytopic (opportunistic tyrphoneutral) parasitoids, the Lepidoptera hosts associated with peat bogs are partially highly stenotopic (tyrphobionts and tyrphophiles). The occurrence of parasitoids compared to their potential hosts was structured along an ecological (mesoclimatic) gradient, so most parasitoids were recorded from margins while stenotopic (narrow habitat adaptation) moths were mostly distributed near the centre of the bog habitat. Particularly remarkable species are pre sented and commented to supplementary. A checklist of all species is attached. New bionomie knowledge of some species is described, i.e. Xenolechia aethiops (H umphreys & W estwood , 1845). The zoo-geographic status of some individual species as bore- omontan is revised, i.e. Neofaculta infernella (H errich-Schàffer, 1854).

  • Tarset and Greystead Biological Records
Tarset and Greystead Biological Records published by the Tarset Archive Group 2015 Foreword Tarset Archive Group is delighted to be able to present this consolidation of biological records held, for easy reference by anyone interested in our part of Northumberland. It is a parallel publication to the Archaeological and Historical Sites Atlas we first published in 2006, and the more recent Gazeteer which both augments the Atlas and catalogues each site in greater detail. Both sets of data are also being mapped onto GIS. We would like to thank everyone who has helped with and supported this project - in particular Neville Geddes, Planning and Environment manager, North England Forestry Commission, for his invaluable advice and generous guidance with the GIS mapping, as well as for giving us information about the archaeological sites in the forested areas for our Atlas revisions; Northumberland National Park and Tarset 2050 CIC for their all-important funding support, and of course Bill Burlton, who after years of sharing his expertise on our wildflower and tree projects and validating our work, agreed to take this commission and pull everything together, obtaining the use of ERIC’s data from which to select the records relevant to Tarset and Greystead. Even as we write we are aware that new records are being collected and sites confirmed, and that it is in the nature of these publications that they are out of date by the time you read them. But there is also value in taking snapshots of what is known at a particular point in time, without which we have no way of measuring change or recognising the hugely rich biodiversity of where we are fortunate enough to live.
