MARSKE 3RDS V DARLINGTON 3RDS AT MARSKE. Third team Batsmen Callum Lethbridge and Oliver Smith put Marske bowlers tot he sword in the Sunday Division 1 game at Windy Hill Lane. Lethbridge hit 148* with seventeen fours and four sixes at the fast scoring seaside ground. Oliver scored his maiden senior fifty as he made 55 with five bounda- ries to his name. A marvel- lous performance by the youngster. We closed on 245 –1 Markse were then shot out for just 62. Opening bowl- ers, (both under 17s) Ollie King 4 for 7 off ten overs and William Heathcote 3 for 11 off six overs de- stroyed the Marske early order before skipper, Steve Lethbridge chipped in with three for 0 of 1.4 overs! It took 37.4 overs to finish the seasiders off for an- other memorable perform- ance. Tom Sowerby pout in an- other good performance behind the stumps with three catches and a stump- ing. Once again Gary Moody helped the side out and took another catch. Darlington U13s V Darlington RA U13s

Lowery Cup

After Thomas Horniman lost the toss yet again, the real Darlington were put into bat by the other Darlington, and a second ball duck for the Captain completed a miserable start to the game for

him.

The RA failed to capitalise on the opportunity, and some solid if unspectacular from Chris Heron and Leo Giacomelli steadied the ship. After a slow start, Chris found his rhythm and again had to retire on 31. After great support from Leo (21 not out), and a flurry of boundaries from Rishabh Ray, who got of the mark with a huge six, a big total was on the cards. The scoring rate slowed however, and a big final was needed, with some powerful hits and expensive ex-

tras setting a final total of 115.

With from Rishabh Ray and Luke Sinclair constraining the RA's early response, what should have been a straightforward task for Darlington was made harder by giving away a record 38 in extras, and at times Darlington RA were ahead of the required run rate and looking comfort-

able.

The run rate was slowed by some tight bowling from Thomas Horniman (2 for 9 including a double maiden) and some great catching. The standard of catching this season has been excep- tional, with James Thorpe and 11-a-side debutants Archie Dalton and Nick Whiston (2) taking them

this time.

The loss of quick wickets and the retirement of Jamie Marr on 30, meant Darlington edged back in front going into the last few overs. Needing 11 from the last over, some tight bowling from Rishabh

gave them no chance of pulling it off, and the win was secured.

Man of the match was Rishabh Ray for his explosive batting (27 not out) and another two wicket

haul (2 for 12). R.Horniman (Manager|)
