Monarchy of Great Britain Ever Since Henry VIII Monarchy of Great Britain Ever since Henry VIII • the King is the Head of his Kingdom and the Church of England Queen Elizabeth II • The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on 20 November 2011. • Shortly after the Royal Family returned from South Africa in 1947, the Princess's engagement to Lieutenant Philip Mountbatten was announced. • The couple, who had known each other for many years, were married in Westminster Abbey on 20 November 1947. The event was fairly simple, as Britain was still recovering from the war, and Princess Elizabeth had to collect clothing coupons for her dress, like any other young bride. They spent their honeymoon at Broadlands, Hampshire, the home of Lord Mountbatten, and at Birkhall, Balmoral. • Lieutenant Mountbatten, now His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, was the son of Prince Andrew of Greece and a great-great- grandson of Queen Victoria. The Queen has paid public tribute to her husband on several occasions, recalling his loyal support and service to the country. • They have four children, eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. • Prince Charles, now The Prince of Wales, heir apparent to the throne, was born in 1948, and his sister, Princess Anne, now The Princess Royal, two years later. • After Princess Elizabeth became Queen, their third child, Prince Andrew, arrived in 1960 and the fourth, Prince Edward, in 1964. Prince Andrew and Prince Edward were the first children to be born to a reigning monarch since Queen Victoria had her family. • Their grandchildren are Peter and Zara Phillips (b. 1977 and 1981); Prince William of Wales and Prince Henry of Wales (b. 1982 and 1984); Princess Beatrice of York and Princess Eugenie of York (b. 1988 and 1990); and The Lady Louise Windsor and Viscount Severn (b.2003 and 2007), children of The Earl and Countess of Wessex. • Their first great-grandchild, Miss Savannah Phillips, the daughter of Peter and Autumn Phillips, was born in 2010. • Family life has been an essential support to The Queen throughout her reign. The family usually spends Christmas together at Sandringham in Norfolk, attending church on Christmas Day. And in the summer of 2006, The Queen celebrated her 80th birthday by taking a cruise with all her family through the Western Isles of Scotland. Queen Elizabeth II • The Queen is Head of State of the UK and 15 other Commonwealth realms. The elder daughter of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, she was born in 1926 and became Queen at the age of 25, and has reigned through more than five decades of enormous social change and development. The Queen is married to Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh and has four children and eight grandchildren. Interests • An animal lover since childhood, The Queen takes a keen and highly knowledgeable interest in horses. • She attends the Derby at Epsom, one of the classic flat races in Britain, and the Summer Race Meeting at Ascot, which has been a Royal occasion since 1911. • As an owner and breeder of thoroughbreds, she often visits other race meetings to watch her horses run, and also frequently attends equestrian events. • The Queen's horses won races at Royal Ascot on a number of occasions. There was a notable double on 18 June 1954 when Landau won the Rous Memorial Stakes and a stallion called Aureole won the Hardwicke Stakes, and in 1957 The Queen had four winners during Ascot week. • In 1984, 1986 and 1991 Her Majesty made brief private visits to the United States to see stallion stations and stud farms in Kentucky. • Other interests include walking in the countryside and working her Labradors, which were bred at Sandringham. • A lesser known interest is Scottish country dancing. Each year during her stay at Balmoral Castle, The Queen gives dances known as Gillies' Balls, for neighbours, estate and Castle staff and members of the local community. The Duke of Edinburgh • Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, Earl of Merioneth and Baron Greenwich, was born Prince of Greece and Denmark in Corfu on 10 June 1921. • He was born the only son of Prince Andrew of Greece. His paternal family is of Danish descent - Prince Andrew was the grandson of King Christian IX of Denmark. • His mother was Princess Alice of Battenberg, the eldest child of Prince Louis of Battenberg and sister of Earl Mountbatten of Burma. Prince Louis became a naturalised British subject in 1868, joined the Royal Navy and rose to become an Admiral of the Fleet and First Sea Lord in 1914. • During the First World War Prince Louis changed the family name to Mountbatten and was created Marquess of Milford Haven. Prince Philip adopted the family name of Mountbatten when he became a naturalised British subject and renounced his Royal title in 1947. • Prince Louis married one of Queen Victoria's granddaughters. Thus, The Queen and Prince Philip both have Queen Victoria as a great-great-grandmother. They are also related through his father's side. His paternal grandfather, King George I of Greece, was Queen Alexandra's brother. • The Global Economic Reset Marks the Beginning of the Great
The Global Economic Reset Marks The Beginning of The Great Tribulation Globalists Reveal That the “Great Economic Reset” Is Coming In 2021 But It Is More Insidious Than That! Part 5 World Economic Forum: The Institution Behind "The Great Reset" Who Front for the House of Rothschild In a recent article Steven Guinness, writing at Zero Hedge briefly examined a number of advances that global planners made prior to the World Economic Forum’s announcement in June of a new initiative dubbed ‘The Great Reset‘. Taken together, the United Nation’s Agenda 2030, the Paris Climate Agreement, the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the Bank for International Settlement’s ‘Innovation BIS 2025‘ offer an insight into how elites want to turn the lives of every man, woman and child inside out over the course of the next decade. Details of ‘The Great Reset‘ came as nations began to reopen their economies following a global lockdown. The extent to which Covid-19 has dominated every facet of existence – largely because of unrepentant media coverage – has encouraged people to focus exclusively on what life will be like after the virus. For many, what came before now seems inconsequential. It is anything but. It is the New World Order on Steroids! For example, three months before Covid-19 took hold, a global pandemic exercise – ‘Event 201‘ – was held in New York City which simulated the outbreak of a coronavirus that originated in Brazil. The scenario focused on a novel zoonotic virus that ‘transmitted from bats to pigs to people that eventually becomes efficiently transmissible from person to person, leading to a severe pandemic.’ Whilst initially some countries managed to control the outbreak, it ended up spreading and ‘eventually no country can maintain control‘.

  • Daniel Theodor Danielsen
Across Oceans, Across Time ® … Stories from the Family History & Genealogy Center … Daniel Theodore Danielsen was born on November 8, 1842 in Næstved to carpenter Niels Christian Danielsen and his wife, Johanne Kirstine Andersen. At the age of one his family moved to Copenhagen, locating near Rosenborg Castle. In later years Daniel recounted that his childhood playmates included two children of Christian IX, George – later King George I of Greece – and Alexandra, who became the wife of the future Edward VII of England. In April 1865 Daniel left his homeland for the U.S. After clerking in a grocery store in Chicago he worked his way eastward for two years, intending to return to Denmark and settle down. Upon hearing, however, that there was a need for immigrant labor in the South, he decided to investigate, and found employment at a sawmill in Edgefield (now Saluda) Co., where he settled and spent the rest of his life. In 1870 he married P. Bethany Salter, with whom he had six children: Christian, August, Johanna, Christina, Elizabeth, and John. After his first wife’s death, he married Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Davenport and Effie Wilson. The former playmate of royalty, immigrant Daniel integrated well into his new life in the post-bellum South. He became a member of the Sardis Baptist Church in 1872, later moving his membership to the West End Baptist Church in Newberry, where he served in several official capacities. He was also a member of several fraternal organizations. He farmed and was employed at several sawmills, including the Newberry Cotton Mill, where he was night watchman for 28 years until his death in 1916.

We continue to emphasise the broader diplomatic function that art can play by selecting works that link Britain with the rest of the world in embassies and diplomatic buildings abroad, which this year included Copenhagen, Cairo and Moscow. Acquisitions Outset/Government Art Collection Fund This year saw the establishment of a new partnership, the Outset/ Government Art Collection Fund. Founded in 2003, Outset is an independent international organisation that supports new art within the public arena through private funding. The aim of the Fund is to add 12 important new works of art to the Collection over three years. The first work given to the GAC as a result of the Fund was a large-scale photograph by Isaac Julien, followed by an acrylic painting on vintage textile by Shezad Dawood. Aside from the Outset/GAC Fund acquisitions, other new works were acquired, including an abstract painting by the late Jon Thompson, an oil painting by Dexter Dalwood and a portfolio of 20 prints including Gillian Ayres, Gordon Cheung and Howard Hodgkin.
