Ours is a rural college situated in the border area of Karnataka and Maharashtra. It came into existence in 1974. It has been doing the ‘Yeoman’s service to the rural youth for the last 39 years catering to the needs of SC/ ST, OBC and especially aiming at empowering women and up iftment of weaker sections. More than 50% of the college strength consists of women. And 90% of the strength belongs to SC /ST & OBC categories. The total strength of our college is 389(186 boys and 203 girls).The results of the college are better ranging between 65% to 88%. College Union, Gymkhana and other associations have conducted various activities to enable them to equip themselves with the competitive spirit in this LPG era.

COLLEGE UNION 1) The activities of college union ,Gymkhana and other associations were inaugurated on 11th august 2012 by Dr. B.R.Ananthan , vice- chancellor R.C.U Belagavi, shree Raju Chikkangouder was the guest of honour on the occasion and Advocate shree P.R. Patil, chairman KMAC College presided over the function . 2) Independence Day was celebrated on 15th august 2012 with shree Narendra Jain, Industrialist, New Delhi as the chief guest and Advo P.R.Patil presided over the function. 3) Shree Akshay koganole B.com. I stood first in spot painting at Channama Sambrama(Youth Festival) held at Shivanand College Kagawad on 7/12/2012. 4) 150th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekand was celebrated on 12/1/2013 in the holy presence of shree (Dr) Shradhanand Swamiji, Shivanand Math, Sadalga. He stressed on the aims, aspirations ideals and philosophy of Swami Vivekanand .Essay competition was arranged on the occasion. 5) Republic day was celebrated with Shree Pankaj Patil Ex.ZP as the chief guest and Advo. P.R.Patil presided over the function. 6) Prepared speech extempore singing, essay, G.K. Test Quiz Competitions were arranged from 22/03/2013 to 27//03/2013. 7) Birth Anniversaries of Dr. Radhakrishnan, Mahatma Gandhi, Lal Bahadur shatri, Dr. B.R.Ambedkar and the days of national and international importance were celebrated, College Union was looked after efficiently by Prof. B.P.Nyamagouda prof.B.A.Patil,and prof.Ashwini patil.

NSS UNIT Nss unit consists of 100 volunteers. It has undertaken various activities like cleaning, plantation, watering, blood donation, AIDS awareness Communal harmony celebration of Nss day etc. Special camp was organised from 12-01- 13 to 18-01-13 in adopted village successfully. With the motto “Strong Youths for Strong India”, a series of lectures on Samskar and Labor, Empowerment of Women, AIDS awareness, Strong Youths for the Strong Nation etc were arranged along with Shramadana. Plantation, Heath checkup, Cleaning the temples and Drainages of the village were under taken during the camp. Rally was arranged to creat awareness among the rural folk to prevent foeticide. The co-operation of the office bearers of panchayat, and Mahadev mandir and the villagers was praise worthy. 1)Mrs.Umesh Naik 2)Geeta naik are dicaired as the best NSS volunteers

N. C. C Activities for the year 2012-13  Lieutenant B. S. Itnal along with Jr.U/O Pranavakumar R Desai & 2 SD , 4 SW cadets attended the TSC(B&G) Camp held at, Belgaum from 9th to 18th July, 2012  Jr. U/O. Uttej S Magadum along with 5 SD and 6 SW cadets attended CATC V /Group TSC-II (B&G)camp held at Commando ing Nanawadi Belgaum from 5th to 14th August, 2012.  S. U/O. Miss Arati A Alagure along with 14 SD and 9 SW cadets attended CATC-VII/DTE TSC (Girls) camp held at Police Parade Ground Azamnagar Belgaum from 5th to 14th September, 2012. 4 SD Cadets have been selected for the next CATC-VII/DTE TSC-II(Girls) Camp Belgaum.  Sgt.Vijay R More along with 21 SD and 7 SW Cadets attended CATC- VII/DTE TSC-II(Girls) camp held at Police Parade Ground Azamnagar Belgaum from 15nd to 24th September , 2012. 3 SD Cadets have been selected for the next CATC-X/IUC/RDC(Boys) Camp at APMC Hubli.  S. U/O. Praveen S Matiwade along with 3 SD cadets attend the CATC- X/IUC/RDC (Boys) Camp at APMC Hubli from 24th September to 3rd October 2012. S. U/O. Praveen S Matiwade was selected for CATC/GP/RDC-I Camp to be held at Dharwad.  S. U/O. Praveen S Matiwade attended CATC/GP/RDC-II Camp held in Dharwad. from 7th to 16th October 2012. S. U/O. Praveen S Matiwade was selected of RDC II camp.  S. U/O. Praveen S Matiwade attended CATC/GP/RDC-II Camp held at Dharwad. from 21st to 30th October 2012. S. U/O. Praveen S Matiwade selection of RDC –III camp APMC Hubli  S. U/O. Praveen S Matiwade attended CATC/GP/RDC-IV Camp held at APMC Hubli from 3rd to 13th November 2012. S. U/O. Matiwade, attended Inter Group Competition RDC –I Camp held at BANGLORE .from 15th to 23rd November 2012.  Cadet Rohit D Awate along with 2 SD Cadet attended Hubli camp. From 7th to 16th January 2013  68 cadets appeared for ‘B’ & ‘C’ certificate examination.  Four cadets Shri. Suresh B Kokare and, Pavankumar A Patil, Ganesh L herawade and Sachin M Mali have joined Indian Army During the year 2012-13.

Lieutenant B. S. Itnal looked after NCC Activities very efficiently. N.C.C Unit During this year:-2012-13 1] Shri Praveen S Matiwade B.A II is declared as Best Senior under officer and attend Inter-Group Competition Bangalore . and got the trophy. 2] Shri Pranavkumar R Desai B.Com II is declared as Best cadet .and got the trophy . 3] Miss Arati A Algure B.Com II is declared as SW Best Senior under officer .and got the trophy . 4] Miss Archana D Khot B.A.II is declared as SW Best Cadet. And got the trophy.

Gymkhana Annual Report 2012-13 The department conducted various sports activities during this year our sportsmen participated at Inter-Collegiate sports activities & brought credit to our college 1) Cross Country:- Participated Miss Saraswati V Desai B.A I. Participated and secured in 25th Place at Rani Channamma University, Belagavi Inter- Collegiate Single Zone Cross Country race. It jointly organized by Govt & KNVV College, Kittur on 9th & 10th September, 2012

2) Chess . Shri. Mahesh A. Patil,& Shri. Anand R. Magadum participated in Rani Channamma University, Belagavi Inter- Collegiate Selection Trials in Chess competition was held at SKMM Govt First Grade College, Saundatti from 9th to 11th September, 2012. .

3) Swimming:- Selection Trials in Swimming competition for men and women was Shri. I. M. Kumbhar, Shri. U. S. Magadum, Shri. S. G. Waghamode & Miss Jyoti K Patil.participated in Rani Channamma University, Belagavi Inter- Collegiate held at BLDE College Bijapur on 12th & 13th September, 2012.

4) Kabaddi :-  Shri. Rohit D Awate participated in kabaddi at Rani Channamma University, Belagavi Inter- Collegiate Selection Trials held in C.PEd College, Belagavi on 21st & 22nd September, 2012.

5) Handball:- Shri. Rohit D Awate & Shri Vrushabh A Patil participated in the competition and were selected under 25th place at Rani Channamma University, Belagavi Inter- Collegiate Selection Trials in Handball competition for men held at K.A. Lokapur College, Mudhol on 27th & 28th October, 2012.

6) Wrestling:- . Shri. Nivas B Chavan secured 4th place in Rani Channamma University, Belagavi Inter- Collegiate Selection Trials in wrestling competition for men held at S.R.Kanti Mudhol on 27th & 28th October, 2012.

7) Kho-Kho (Women) our University Blues Ms. Supriya Patil, Ms. Dhanashri Patil, Ms. Neeta Patil, and reserve players Ms Chakuli J Mane& Ms Avita A Teradale ,and players Ms Ashwini M Ladage,Ms Asmita B Patil,Ms Rajashree A Patil ,Ms Megha S Mali ,Ms Ujjawala M Kone participated in this Tournament and Secured 2nd place inRani Channamma University, Belagavi Inter-Collegiate Single Zone Women’s Kho-Kho tournament was held at MM Arts College Khanapur on 5th & 6th October, 2012. our University Blues Ms. Supriya Patil, Ms. Dhanashri Patil, Ms. Neeta Patil, and reserve player Ms Chakuli J Mane& Ms Avita A Teradale ,as player Ms Ashwini M Ladage,Ms Asmita B Patil,Ms Rajashree A Patil ,Ms Megha S Mali ,Ms Ujjawala M Kone participated in this Tournament and Secured 2nd place.

Women’s Kho-Kho Team participated in Inter –University Calicut University Kerala on 19th to 23rd December 2013 during this year and brought credit to our college.

8) Kho-Kho (Men) Shri. Chandrakanth J Mane, & Shri. Ranjeet A Thorabale were selected under 20th place. and C.J. Mane Selection as Reserve Players in Rani Channamma University, Belagavi Inter- Collegiate Selection Trials in Men’s Kho-Kho competition was held at B.K College, Belgaum on 25th October , 2012. 9) Volley Ball ( Men) Shri. Sushanth S Banne , & Shri. Sachin S Hirave selected under 20th place in Rani Channamma University, Belagavi Inter- Collegiate Selection Trials in Volley ball Men competition for men was held at M.P. Miraji College, Belgaum on 2nd & 3rd December, 2012. 10) Athletics:- Shri Santosh . S. Batte participated in 100mtrs & 200mtrs Running Shri Ranjeet A thorabale in 100mtrs & 800mtrs running Rani Channamma University, Belagavi Inter-Collegiate Athletics sports meet was held at BVV Science College, Bagalkot from 29th to 31st December, 2012. Mr.Thorabale secured 4th place in 100mtrs running ,Shri P.V. Desai, Shri V.A. Patil & Miss S V Desai participated in the events. brought credit to the our College.

11) Net Ball (Men) Shri. Vrushabh A Patil and Shri. Chetan K Swami participated in Rani Channamma University, Belagavi Inter- Collegiate Selection Trials in Net ball competition for men held at BVV Arts College, Baglkot on 16th & 17th January 2013. 12) Annual Sports Meet:- Indoor & Outdoor Sports Meet was held from 29th to 31st January 2013.

LADIES ASOOCIATION On behalf of ladies association Rangoli, Vegetable Carving, Hairstyle,Fancydress, Mehandi and Saari wearing Competitions were arranged. The ladies participated in these competatios with great enthusiasm. This Association was looked after efficiently by Smt.S.K.Bele and Ms.A.J.Patil.

All the departments have undertaken various activities during the academic year. DEPT OF ENGLISH 1. Poem Recitation Competition was arranged on 12/03/2013 2 . A Special guest lecture was arranged on 19/03/2013. Prof. (Smt) J.A.Nadaf was the chief guest on the occasion. She spoke on “English and Student’s Career” Prof.V.G.Wader presided over the function . 3. As a chief guest,Smt.S.K.Bele delivered lecture on ‘Empowerment of Women’ at a function organised by B.R.M.E. Society’s D.Ed and B.Ed College and Bhagyodaya Women’s Association Shamanewadi on 26/03/2013 on the occasion of International Women’s Day. 4. As a chief guest, Smt.S.K.Bele delivered lecture on “ Biographical Sketches”at the function arranged by Department of English in SDVS’s S.S. Arts and T.P. Science Institute ankeshwar on 30/03/2013. 5.Certificate course in Spoken English was continued for B. A I, and B.com I students.

Prof. B.P. Nyamagouda was awarded “ Lekhak Prashasti”by Dhamasthala Munjunath Trust for the year 2012.

DEPARTMENT OF MARATHI Departmental Activities (2012-13) A special guest lecture was arranged on 23/03/2013.Prof (Smt).Gouravati Kharade – Bhonsale Devachand College , Nipani, spoke on ‘Empowerment Of Women’ Principal Dr.B.B.Kalatippi presided over the function.

Department of Economics Dept. of economics organized the 48th A.D. shroff memorial elocution competition on 12- 10- 2012. Principal A.D.Hindalkar,prof. Vijaykumar Naik and Prof. R.B.Sabbannavar were the judgeson the occasion. Prof. P.D. Gadiyappannavar has retired on 30-12-2012. After serving 35 years valuation service in our college. Dr.J.P. Sabannavar presented five papers and attended a workshop acted as judge and chaired the sessions in the following National /State level seminars/conferences/ workshops

 Presented paper on the one day national seminar “Manthan-4” on Indian Economy challenges Ahead held on Saturday, 13th October2012 organised under UGC scheme of “college with potential for Excellence” at Lingaraj college, Belgaum .  Acted as a judge for one day National seminar ‘Manthan-4’ titled Indian Economy challenges Ahead, held on 13th October 2012 at Lingaraj college, Belgaum.  Paper presented entitled on Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in multi- brand Retailing” in the 65th All India Commerce Conference held from Novembe 9th 2012 held at K.P.B.Hinduja college of commerce,Mumbai.  Participated in one day workshop on “International Trade and Business “ jointly organized by Rani Channamma University Economics Teachers Association and KLE Society’s Lingaraj college , Belguam on Dec 2012 .)  Attended as a Special lecture on “Multi –National companies” for B.com IV semester students of Shri. L.K.Khot college of commerce Shankeshwar on 30th jan 2013.  (Presented of paper on “Socio –Economic Status and gender differences in employment in India “ in the National seminar sponsored by UGC held on 15th and 16th feb 2013 at SCP Arts and commerce college Mahalingpur ) .  Chaired the Technical Session IV in the two day National Seminar Sponsored by UGC held on 15th and 16th feb 2013 held at SCP Arts and commerce college Mahalingapur .  A special lecture delivered on the topic “ Role of F.D.I.in Economic Development of India “ to the Students of Economics of SS Arts and commerce college ,Shankeshwar on 16th march 2013  Paper Presented entitled “ Rural Marketing “ in one day State level Seminar organized on 12th march 2013. At SVS Bellubbi Arts.and commerce college Saundatti  Presented a paper entitled “Woman Entrepreneurship -a tool for Economic Development “Organized by Institute of Management and Research (IMR)Pune held on 6th April 2013.  Published one International Conference Article on “Corporate Governance and IFRS in India “ in feb 2013 by United Publishers ,Mangalore and having ISBN -978-93-81195-25-3.

Report Of Commerce Department Activities to the Academic Year 2012- 13. Departmental activities were inaugurated on 11/8/2012 by the chief guest Dr.B.R.Ananthan,Vice- chancellor of Rani Channamma University,Belagavi. Principal Dr.B.B.Kalatippi,Prof.V.A.Keste, Prof.A.K.Jayappanavar and Prof.B.A.Patil have attended and presented papers in National and State level Seminars conducted by colleges at Sangli ,Sankeshwar,Belgaum and Nippani.

Shri.Darshan.Kulkarni,B.com.III and twelve B.com.I students (six boys and six girls) have also attended Seminars in neighbouring Colleges. Shri.Akshay.Koganole B.com.I student has stood first in Spot Painting at Channamma Sambrama (youth festival) held at Shivanand College,Kagawad. On 18/3/2013, we have organized a programme on “Orientation to MBA Entrance Examination,May 2013”Resource persons, Dr.Madhuri Hebbalkar,Director and Santosh Teranimath of AIMR,Sankeshwar gave guidance and valuable information on the Occasion This has motivated B.A.III and B.com III students to appear for CMAT,May 2013 Examination. On 23/3/2013 “Orientation for IAK,KAS and Banking Entrance Examinations”was provided to Final Year Students by Parshwanath Academy for Competitive Examinations,Dharwad. Prof.B.A.Patil has guided and encouraged students to participate in various competitons at collegiate level,This has resulted in getting good prizes at the Quiz competition. On 08/04/2013,Prof A.K.Jayappanavar,Placement officer has attended a “Orientation Programme for Placement Officers”conducted by Skill School of Rani Channamma University,Belagavi. We are pleased to get timely guidance and advice from principal pro.B.B. Kalatippi in the smooth conduct departmental activities.

Department of Computer Science:

1) Our Computer lab is well equipped with Twenty Five Computers supported by Laser Printer, Dot Matrix Printer and Broad Band Internet facility. Out of Twenty Five Computers Nine PC’s have TFT monitors.

2) Networking facility is provided in the lab.

3) 16 new batteries are purchased for battery back up.

4) Miss: Ashwini Patil Attended Workshop On “Linux Operating System” Organized by Hira Sugar Institute of Technology Nidasoshi.

Library(2012-13) Our College library has well equipped with two flooered independent building. There are 17019 Books and 104 CD ROMs in Our Library. College renewed 29 old journals Subscription worth Rs.21660.00 along with daily news papers. College has purchased 456 books worth Rs.55069.00 from college funds during this academic year. We are giving better OPAC and NList service continousely. Students and staff members are useing the service. Our library is having the CC camera for smooth administration. We have celebrated the Librarian’s day on the occasion of Dr S.R.Ranganganathan birth day on 12/08/2012. and also deside to give the best library user award to Miss.Geeta Naik.

From 7th to 16th January 2013  68 cadets appeared for ‘B’ & ‘C’ certificate examination.  Four cadets Shri. Suresh B Kokare and, Pavankumar A Patil, Ganesh L herawade and Sachin M Mali have joined Indian Army During the year 2012-13.

Gymkhana Annual Report 2012-13 The department conducted various sports activities during this year our sportsmen participated at Inter-Collegiate sports activities & brought credit to our college 1) Cross Country:- Rani Channamma University, Belagavi Inter- Collegiate Single Zone Cross Country competition was Jointly organized by Govt & KNVV College, Kittur on 9th & 10th September, 2012. Participated Miss Saraswati V Desai B.A I. She secured in 25th Place. 2) Chess Rani Channamma University, Belagavi Inter- Collegiate Selection Trials in Chess competition was held at SKMM Govt First Grade College, Saundatti from 9th to 11th September, 2012. Shri. Mahesh A. Patil,& Shri. Anand R. Magadum participated in the competition. 3) Swimming:- Rani Channamma University, Belagavi Inter- Collegiate Selection Trials in Swimming competition for men and women was held at BLDE College Bijapur on 12th & 13th September, 2012 Shri. I. M. Kumbhar, Shri. U. S. Magadum, Shri. S. G. Waghamode & Miss Jyoti K Patil.particepeted in the swimming competition. 4) Kabaddi :-  Shri. Rohit D Awate participated in kabaddi at Rani Channamma University, Belagavi Inter- Collegiate Selection Trials held in C.PEd College, Belagavi on 21st & 22nd September, 2012. Participated

5) Handball:- Rani Channamma University, Belagavi Inter- Collegiate Selection Trials in Handball competition for men was held at K.A. Lokapur College, Mudhol on 27th & 28th October, 2012. Shri. Rohit D Awate & Shri Vrushabh A Patil participated in the competition and were selected under 25th place and brought credit to the our College.

6) Wrestling:- Rani Channamma University, Belagavi Inter- Collegiate Selection Trials in wrestling competition for men was held at S.R.Kanti Mudhol on 27th & 28th October, 2012. Shri. Nivas B Chavan secured 4th place in the competition. 7) Kho-Kho (Women) Rani Channamma University, Belagavi Inter-Collegiate Single Zone Women’s Kho-Kho tournament was held at MM Arts College Khanapur on 5th & 6th October, 2012. our University Blues Ms. Supriya Patil, Ms. Dhanashri Patil, Ms. Neeta Patil, and reserve player Ms Chakuli J Mane& Ms Avita A Teradale ,as player Ms Ashwini M Ladage,Ms Asmita B Patil,Ms Rajashree A Patil ,Ms Megha S Mali ,Ms Ujjawala M Kone participated in this Tournament and Secured 2nd place. 8) Kho-Kho (Men) Rani Channamma University, Belagavi Inter- Collegiate Selection Trials in Men’s Kho-Kho competition was held at B.K College, Belgaum on 25th October , 2012. Shri. Chandrakanth J Mane, & Shri. Ranjeet A Thorabale were selected under 20th place. and C.J. Mane Selection as Reserve Players 9) Volley Ball ( Men) Rani Channamma University, Belagavi Inter- Collegiate Selection Trials in Volley ball Men competition for men was held at M.P. Miraji College, Belgaum on 2nd & 3rd December, 2012. Shri. Sushanth S Banne , & Shri. Sachin S Hirave selected under 20th place. 10) Athletics:- Rani Channamma University, Belagavi Inter-Collegiate Athletics sports meet was held at BVV Science College, Bagalkot from 29th to 31st December, 2012. Shri Santosh . S. Batte participated in 100mtrs & 200mtrs Running Shri Ranjeet A thorabale in 100mtrs & 800mtrs running. He secured 4th place in 100mtrs running ,Shri P.V. Desai, Shri V.A. Patil & Miss S V Desai participated in the events. brought credit to the our College.

11) Net Ball (Men) Rani Channamma University, Belagavi Inter- Collegiate Selection Trials in Net ball competition for men was held at BVV Arts College, Baglkot on 16th & 17th January 2013. Shri. Vrushabh A Patil and Shri. Chetan K Swami participated in the competition.

In these modern days most of the students are busy with their competitive examinations and modern fissions even then the more number of students practicing the sports and participating in large number. Our College became Runner up & 3 university Blues Supriya M Patil. Neeta S Patil, Dhanshree S Patil and 2 reserve players Chakuli J Mane , & Avita A Teradale at Rani Channamma University Belagavi Single Zone women’s Kho-Kho, and participated in Inter –University Calicut University Kerala on 19th to 23rd December 2013 during this year and brought credit to our college. Society’s D.Ed and B.Ed College and Bhagyodaya Women’s Association Shamanewadi on 26/03/2013 on the occasion of International Women’s Day. 4. As a chief guest, Smt.S.K.Bele delivered lecture on “ Biographical Sketches”at the function arranged by Department of English in SDVS’s S.S. QArts and T.P.
