Pascal Franchot Bio & Resume P ascal Franchot t Bio & Resume [email protected] Ph: 323-717-5569 BIOGRAPHY Award winning director and producer Pascal Franchot studied abroad at the American University of Paris and Parsons School of Design before graduating from Ithaca College with a degree in Film and a minor in Photography. Upon graduating, Pascal started directing commercials and music videos for MTV and VH1. Pascal then went on to direct his first feature film, MILO. In the past three years Franchot has directed/produced over 30 hours of TV which includes five pilots (Bravo, Discovery, Nickelodeon and CMT) three of which have gone to series and two that are in season two and three. Over the past 10 years Pascal has delivered over 80 hours of TV programming for the following networks; ABC, Bravo, CMT, CNN, Discovery, Fox TV, Google, GSN, History Channel, MTV, National Geographic, Nickelodeon, Spike TV, TLC and the Travel Channel. Franchot has filmed all across the US and internationally; Argentina, Canada, Denmark, England, Germany, Guatemala, India, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, Nepal, Philippines, Russia, South Africa and the Ukraine. Through his production company, Fastback Pictures, Pascal is currently developing a TV series with Discovery Studios, BLOODHOUNDS IN BLUE, and in the recent past has partnered with Mike Fleiss, Warner Horizon, Sony and other production entities to develop and create his own original content. Franchot is in early pre- production on the sci-fi action film RIDER and the documentary feature, PAINTED OCEANS, starting Tristan Eaton, Sheppard Fairey, How & Nosm and Revok, which begins filming in England, April 2016. Pascal produced the critically acclaimed feature film, “Gardens of the Night” starring Gillian Jacobs, Evan Ross, Tom Arnold and John Malkovich; which premiered at the Berlin Film Festival and won the International Film Critics Award. Franchot directed and produced the teen drama/thriller, TRIPLE DOG, starring Brittany Robertson, Scout- Taylor Compton and Nolan Funk. In 2011 he won a PEABODY AWARD for his producing contributions on the CNN Heroes All-Star Tribute. How did it all work? Participants had two days to produce their films from scratch. The brief was to look at the many challenges of HIV and AIDS, but with a female slant. However, the films aren’t just targeted atwomen; in fact everyone might learn something. A panel of expert judges, including acclaimed director Bryan Barber gave their opinions on all six films, and chose an overall winner.Considering all films were shot on zero budget, they really are an amazing feat.

We've got some work to do here. [Laughter] This is not all fun and games. [Laughter] Welcome to the White House, everybody. Today we celebrate extraordinary Americans who have lifted our spirits, strengthened our Union, pushed us toward progress. I always love doing this event, but this is a particularly impressive class. [Laughter] We've got innovators and artists, public servants, rabble rousers, athletes, renowned character actors, like the guy from "Space Jam." [Laughter] We pay tribute to those distinguished individuals with our Nation's highest civilian honor, the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Now, let me tell you a little bit about each of them. First, we came close to missing out on a Bill and Melinda Gates's incredible partnership. Because apparently Bill's opening line was, "Do you want to go out 2 weeks from this coming Saturday?" [Laughter] I mean, he's good with computers, but—[laughter]. Fortunately, Melinda believes in second chances. And the world is better for it. For two decades, the Gates Foundation has worked to provide lifesaving medical care to millions, boosting clean water supplies, improving education for our children, rallying aggressive international action on climate change, cutting childhood mortality in half. The list could go on. These two have donated more money to charitable causes than anyone ever. Many years ago, Melinda's mom told her an old saying: "To know that even one life has breathed easier because you lived, that is success." And by this and just about any other measure, few in human history have been more successful than these two impatient optimists.

Rue is only 17-years-old, and luckily for her parents, she is a fic- tional character from the premium cable show “Euphoria,” played by Disney Channel graduate Zendaya (“Spider-Man: Far From Home,” 2019). If you haven’t been keep- ing up with “Euphoria” so far, you can stream previous episodes on HBO Go, and the Season 1 finale (titled “And Salt the Earth Behind You”) airs Sunday, Aug. 4, on HBO. I will then be applying the findings and understandings to multiple seasons of RuPaul’s Drag Race, an American TV Show based upon Drag Queens competing in weekly episodes in order to be crowned America’s next Drag Queen superstar, as a case study.
