New Jersey Youth Soccer and New York Red Bulls Partnership
In January 2014, New Jersey Youth Soccer (NJYS) and the New York Red Bulls (NYRB) announced a groundbreaking partnership making the Red Bulls Academy Grassroots Program the official and exclusive soccer training and education partner of NJYS.
About the Partnership
This extensive partnership helps provide community based development outreach programs between NJYS and NYRB. Through the Red Bulls Youth Training Programs, the two organizations will work together in a number of key development areas, including:
NJYS and the New York Red Bulls will partner to offer educational courses for youth Coach Education soccer coaches leading to licenses and certificates. Specially designed courses are offered at easily accessible community locations.
New York Red Bulls coaches are involved in the coaching and development of the boys' NJYS Olympic Development Program. The most talented players have the opportunity to ODP Program progress within the New York Red Bulls Player Development System.
The New York Red Bulls will continue to grow their significant community outreach platform by providing youth coaches as special guest trainers in the NJYS TOPSoccer TOPSoccer Program. The TOPSoccer Program, offered under the umbrella of U.S.Youth Soccer, offers any child, particularly those with special needs, the opportunity to learn and play soccer in a fun, no-pressure atmosphere.
All members of NJYS and their families will be invited to a New York Red Bulls game at NJYS Night at Red Bull Arena. This experience will provide a unique opportunity for youth soccer Red Bull Arena players and parents to experience a professional match and enjoy Red Bull Arena's special game day atmosphere.
ABOUT THE NEW YORK RED BULLS PLAYER DEVELOPMENT SYSTEM
The New York Red Bulls Player Development System is a multi-layered program that provides a professional training environment for youth players. The programs are operated as part of the Red Bulls global approach to player development. With academies in Austria, Germany, Brazil and New York, the Red Bulls are able to draw on extensive support and expertise to offer the highest level youth soccer programs..The player development pyramid is comprised of four levels:
1. Training Programs serve players at the grassroots level.
2. Regional Development Schools (RDS) operate as a satellite program for talented players looking for additional training. 3. RDS acts as a recruitment platform for NYRB Academy teams.
4. At the Academy level, players are selected to represent Red Bulls Academy teams; from here players can ultimately progress to the Red Bulls First Team.
