We note the recent allowed appeal for a new building at Fitzleroi Farm.

Additional comments submitted 26/11/19

Members of the planning committee have met with and received a large number of representations from residents of Little Bognor and in the context of this virtually unanimous opposition to the applicant, we strongly object to this application in its current form.

FITTLEWORTH PARISH COUNCIL– APPENDIX 1 – PARISH COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES 16TH DECEMBER 2019 PLANNING APPLICATIONS STATUS REPORT (19/11/19-16/12/19)

Whilst the need to diversify farming income in some instances is understood, no evidence has been submitted which would point to rental income being necessary to support a sustainable farming enterprise. The need for this development is therefore questioned.

The currently submitted application is poorly presented and often misleading - there is no such use as B1 storage for example - and contains insufficient information to enable a proper assessment of the scheme. However, on the basis of the operation in situ, it is considered that the proposal leads to unacceptable impacts in terms of highways, residential amenity and ecological impacts. In relation to the latter point, we believe that used portaloos are being hosed down inside the building and that the run off from this activity is flowing across the site and into the adjacent stream, which itself flows into the River Rother. If true, this would represent significant harm to this precious ecosystem.
