A Colonial-era law criminalising male homosexuality was repealed in the Seychelles in 2016 – like many places, it didn’t recognise female homosexu- ality – and employment discrimina- tion on the basis of sexual orientation is banned, making the Seychelles one of the few African countries to have such protections for LGBTQI people.
