  • Bridgeport Sound Tigers Top P-Bruins, 4-3
BRIDGEPORT SOUND TIGERS TOP P-BRUINS, 4-3 Providence, RI - The P-Bruins held an advantage in shots on net the entire game, but the Sound Tigers walked away with the 4-3 win, extending Providence’s four game skid. Dalton Smith attempted to inject the team with some energy in the first when he dropped the gloves with Bridgeport’s Scott Mayfield. Despite out shooting the Sound Tigers 11-7 in the first period, the P-Bruins couldn’t convert and the first period ended scoreless. Smith put the P-Bruins on the board three minutes in to the second period, assisted by Rob Bordson and Garry Nunn. This marked Nunn’s first point as a Providence Bruin. Sebastian Collberg struck back to tie the game at one apiece with just under seven minutes left in the second period. Carkner and Whitney were credited with the assists. 17:55 in to the period, Justin Vaive scored on the power play with Chris Casto in the box for interference to give the Sound Tigers the 2-1 lead. Vaive tipped Pulock’s slap shot from the blue line. Noel Acciari and Mike Halmo fought with under two minutes left in the second period, and the P-Bruins walked away with the man-up advantage. Max Talbot capitalized on the resulting power play, his shot finding its way past Gibson with under a minute left to play. In addition to tying the game, the power play goal was Talbot’s first goal in a P-Bruins jersey (5th point). Austin Czarnik wasted no time, scoring 59 seconds into the third period for the go-ahead goal.

2018-19 !!!!!CHICAGO!WOLVES ! GAME!NOTES CHICAGO at COLORADO OCTOBER 5, 2018 8 p.m. AHLTV THE!=>TH!ANNIVERSARY!SEASON 2018-19 After months of preparation and anticipation, the 2018-19 American Hockey League season finally has TALE!OF!THE!TAPE arrived for the Chicago Wolves. Tonight marks the start of the franchise’s 25th season overall and 18th year as part of the American Hockey League. It seems fitting to open the year against the Colorado REGULAR-SEASON SERIES 0-0-0-0 Colorado | 0-0-0-0 Chicago Eagles because it’s a milestone occasion for them as well. The Eagles are making their AHL debut as they were welcomed as the league’s 31st team earlier this year. LAST MEETING April 22, 2018 Just as the Wolves are known for being four-time league champions, the Eagles enter this year riding the momentum of back-to-back championships in the ECHL. They have become partners with the NHL’s Colorado Avalanche this season, so their roster does not bear much resemblance to the group that claimed the 2018 Kelly Cup. Only six Eagles return, but a good chunk of Colorado’s Opening Night 0-0-0-0 0-0-0-0 roster played for San Antonio last year as the Rampage served as the Colorado Avalanche’s NHL partner. That group includes former Wolves forward Andrew Agozzino (18 goals, 36 assists in 2016-17).
