At the Government House at Wellington, this 2nd day of November, 1938. Present: HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERKOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL. IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by section 3 of the Motor-spirits (Regulation of Prices) Act, 1933, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby, on the recommendation of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, make the following regulations. REGULATIONS. 1. These regulations may be cited as the Motor-spirits Prices (Gisborne) Regulations 1938, Amendment No. 1. 2. These regulations shall be read together with and form part of the Motor-spirits Prices (Gisborne) Regulations 1938* (hereinafter called the principal regulations). 3. These regulations shall come into force on the day following notification in the Gazette of the makmg thereof. t 4. The First Schedule of the principal regulations is hereby amended by revoking the provisions therein contained and substituting the following :- FIRST SCHEDULE. AREA 1. Gi8borne. ALL that area in the Gisbornc Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point 20 chains north of the Makaraka Post-office; thence easterly for a distance of 20 chains; thence due south to a point 100 links north of the Gisborne Makaraka Road; thence easterly along lines parallel to and 100 links distant from that road to the westerIl boundary of the Borough of Gisborne; thence by the western, north-eastern, castern, southern, and western boundaries of the Borough of Gisborne to a point 100 links south of the GisborIlc-Makaraka Road; thence westerly along lines parallel to and 100 links distant from that road to a point 20 chains eastward of the Makaraka Post-office; thence southerly for a distance of 20 chains; thence westerly for a distance of 40 chains; thence northerly for a distance of 40 chains; thence easterly to a point 20 chains north of the NIakaraka Post-office, the place of commencement . • statutory Regulations 1938, Serial Dumber 1938/115. t See end note. 664 Motor-spirits Prices (Gisborne) Regulations 1938, [1938/146. AREA 3. "1111T1:wai, Te Karaka. All that area in the Gisborne Land District bounded on the north-cast ancl cast generally by Areas 4 and 2 herein described from a point 40 chains due west of Wlmtatutu to the mouth of the Waipaoa Hiver; thence southerly by the sea to a point on the sea-coast 40 chains north of Bartlett Post-office; thence north westerly along a right line passing through Trig. Station 100 to a point 200 chains north-west of that station; thence north-easterly along a right line to a point 40 chains west of Whatatutu, the point of commencement. AREA 4. Whatatutu, Waima,ta Valley. All that area in the Gisborne Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point on the \Vaipaoa River due north of Whatatutu; thence south-easterly along a right line to the northernmost corner of Lot 2 of Section 21, Block IV, \Vnimat» Survey District; thence south-westerly along a right line to a point 40 ch"ins cast of \Vaimata Valley Post-office; thence along a right line to a point 40 e1mins uue south of Waimatl1 VI111ey Post-office; thence north-westerly "long a right line to a point 40 chains due south of \VllI1tatutu Post-office; thcnce along a right line to a point 40 chains due west of 'Vhatatutu Post-office; thence north easterly along a right line to a point on the 'Vl1ipaoa River due north of \Vhatatutu, the place of commencemcnt.
