The two-day activity to be held at Silliman aims to train MIL teachers on teaching/facilitating news literacy sessions and developing teaching-learning materials on news literacy as well as to develop innovative methods of teaching this important su bject. project The training activity is part of the Developing Champion Teachers in News Literacy of of AIJC, Google News lnitiative, Love Frankie, and the University of Hong Kong. while number participants is limited, we would like to ensure that teachers who need and can utilize the relevant skills most have a chance to learn and hopefully share them with their colleagues in the future. (15) ln connection with this, we would like to request your permission to invite about fifteen MIL teachers in Senior High Schools in Dumaguete City. We are also requesting permission from Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Senen P. Paulin to invite another fifteen from Senior HiSh schools in other municipalities such as siaton, Valencia, Dauin, Bacong, sibulan, san Jose, and Am lan.
