Adaora Obi #33 California State Polytechnic University of Pomona Going to Los Angeles Valley College was one of the best decisions for me. Playing under Coach Hang helped shape me into the person and player that I am today. I’ve never had a coach that cared so much about developing a player’s overall well being. I still hold a great relationship with Coach Hang and I know that if anything goes left, she will always be there for me. She is someone that I look up to as a mentor; she leads by example and never breaks a promise. Not only did I have a great coach, but also the professors were outstanding. They were personal; not only caring if you passed the class but they made sure you understood the concepts. I was able to transfer to a great school and continue my education on a full athletic scholarship. My overall experience was great, and I am so glad that I made the decision to be a Monarch.

Emily Chan #21 California State University of Fullerton My experience was short and unforgettable. I am extremely blessed to have experienced such a memorable year. There are still days where I wished that I went to Los Angeles Valley College straight out of high school. My time there has enabled me to form many inseparable bonds and relationships with a diverse group of individuals. Transferring to Los Angeles Valley College from a four-year college

the opportunity to play for her. She has taught me all the “little things” to be successful on the court and was an unexpected ride filled with life learning experiences. I am thankful to Coach Hang for giving me become a great student-athlete. Basketball is more than just a game, it is life! in life. I would like to thank Coach Hang and her coaching staff for all the sacrifices they made to help me

Lunden Junious #21 California State University of San Bernardino I played for Coach Hang in 2013-2014. This was considerably my greatest year on and off the court. If I ever had a struggling moment inside the classroom, Coach Hang was there with strong persistence to push me above and beyond. She showed me that education is the key to success. This created a positive transfer to the hardwood. She made me feel like I was one of her own. I had a lot of positive and fun experiences during my time as a Monarch. Every single one of the coaches created a bond with me, sometimes stronger than those I had with my friends. I loved my teammates and our chemistry was great which allowed us to succeed. We won a lot of games and I made the grades I needed to move on to a four-year institution. I love Los Angeles Valley College and everything it taught me.
