Alpharetta to Host Tygtal Exposure Football Scouting Showcase Student Athletes Play for NCAA Scouts and Appearance from Superbowl Champion Jamal Lewis, March 17 Media Contact Jeanine Jones Public Relations Manager Office: 678-297-0102 [email protected] Alpharetta To Host Tygtal Exposure Football Scouting Showcase Student athletes play for NCAA scouts and appearance from Superbowl Champion Jamal Lewis, March 17 ALPHARETTA, GA - (Feb. 14, 2019) – Tygtal Exposure presents the 2019 College I.D. Football Scouting Showcase on March 17 at Alpharetta High School. The showcase is a football camp for rising seniors, juniors, sophomores and freshman to expose them to over 20 NCAA certified scouts as well as learn from an elite coaching team. A special appearance from Superbowl Champion, Jamal Lewis, will also be one of the highlights of the camp. The Football Scouting Showcase has taken place for 3 years all over the Southeast. Alpharetta was selected this year for its excellent football facilities at Alpharetta High School and the city’s overall family-friendly atmosphere. The showcase can accommodate 300 student athletes for a one-day camp of position specific drills and training, coaching expertise, showcase filming by 7 tripod end zone cameras (that the students can keep) and Coach Andre Wise sharing advice and knowledge on what college football programs are looking for in recruiting new players. The showcase provides an excellent opportunity for player growth as well as an education for parents to get a better understanding of the total college football recruiting process. Student athletes will be excited to meet and learn from Superbowl Champion, Jamal Lewis during the camp. Lewis will be on hand to coach as well as encourage each student athlete that attends the showcase. More than 20 NCAA certified scouts will be on site to watch the football showcase attendees as well as more than 200 scouts will be able to watch via live stream from colleges throughout the country. The scouts will access and evaluate each player immediately to provide feedback. “The Football Scouting Showcase is an excellent way for student athletes from all over the country to get exposed to colleges and universities to obtain scholarships,” said Tygtal Exposure president Coach Andre Wise. “And Alpharetta is a perfect place to hold the 2019 showcase. We knew that Alpharetta would be the best of both worlds – a great football event in fantastic facilities and the student athlete’s families can enjoy all the city has to offer before and after the camp.” Success stories are the norm when it comes to the Tygtal Exposure Football Scouting Showcase. One of the success stories that stands out to the coaches is TaQuon Marshall. Marshall was a student athlete from Harris County High School in Hamilton, GA. Marshall attended 3 football showcases from his sophomore year to his senior year in high school. Marshall worked hard over those three years and his performance improved each year. When Marshall graduated from high school, he received 20 Division 1 scholarship offers. He is now the quarterback for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets football team. The showcase is projected to attract not only the players but parents and coaching officials alike. The event will draw participants to Alpharetta’s 26 hotels, more than 200 restaurants, over 250 shops and endless entertainment options. “What an amazing opportunity for student athletes from all over the country to travel to Alpharetta to get in front of NCAA scouts,” said Janet Rodgers, president and CEO of the Alpharetta Convention and Visitors Bureau. “We are excited to welcome the players and their families to Alpharetta where they can enjoy our awesome community. Not only will they have an amazing football experience, but it will be a great family vacation as well.” Tygtal Exposure College I.D Scouting Showcase schedule: Sunday, March 17 at Alpharetta High School, 3595 Webb Bridge Road, Alpharetta, GA 30009 Registration: 10 – 11 a.m. Football Showcase: 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Showcase registration information can be found at www.tygtalexpo.com.
