Project overview The Fairbanks Avenue Roadway & Wastewater Improvement Project includes the installation of a new gravity sewer system, the repaving of Fairbanks, and the beautification of the corridor between US Highway 17-92 and Interstate 4 (I-4).
What does the project include? . Installation of new sewer system . Repaving & restriping of road to add new bicycle lanes . Replacement of two signalized intersections . Installation of decorative street lights . Improvements to pedestrian crosswalks
What should businesses expect? . Most of the work on Fairbanks will take place in the evening after normal business hours. . Two lanes of traffic eastbound and westbound are expected to be maintained during normal daytime business hours. . If special signage is necessary, the city will make every effort to provide information to direct customers to your business. . Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) will be done in accordance with Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) requirements. Frequent changes to the MOT should be expected throughout the project as construction progresses.
