Terrain Analysis of S Terrain Terrain Analysis of Terrain Analysis of Syria and Lebanon Syria and Lebanon Terrain Analysis of Syria and Lebanon provides an in-depth synopsis of essential geographic information for both countries, utilizing the terrain analysis reports found on the verso side of A descriptive and visual geographic knowledge base of population, roads, the 1:200,000 scale Russian military-topographic map series. These reports draw on detailed on- topography and soils, hydrography, vegetation and climate site surveys and long-term observations. Each report, 47 in all, analyses the terrain and relevant geography of a specic portion of Syria and/or Lebanon. The reports themselves are structured into six parts, describing populated places; local roads and transportation networks; topography and soils; hydrology; vegetation, and climate. Following this description for each area is a small-scale overview topographic map of the region under examination, as well as a soil map.
