Public Notice of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries No.2020-80 Public Notice on Specification of Aquatic Animal Disease Article 1 (Purpose) The purpose of this public notice is to specify aquatic animal disease that requires constant monitoring and controlling, in addition to contagious aquatic organism diseases prescribed in Article 2(6) of the Aquatic Life Disease Control Act and Article 2 of the Enforcement regulation of Aquatic Life Disease Control Act, to prevent outbreaks or the spread of aquatic organism diseases and to contribute to the stable production and supply of aquatic organisms, protection of aquatic ecosystems and the enhancement of public health. Article 2 (Aquatic Animal Disease) Pursuant to Article 2(4) of the Enforcement regulation of Aquatic Life Disease Control Act, other aquatic animal diseases designated and announced by the Minister of Oceans and Fisheries as the diseases requiring constant monitoring and controlling are as follows; 1. Tilapia lake virus 2. Decapod iridescent virus 1 Article 3 (Reassessment Deadline) Pursuant to the Regulation on the Issue and Management of Directives and Established Rules, the Minister shall review the feasibility of this public notice and revise it every 3 years, as of July 1, 2020 (the deadline shall be June 30 of every third year). Addenda Article 1 (Enforcement Date) This public notice shall enter into force on August 1, 2020. Article (Applicable Examples) Regarding the accompanying Health certificate for import under Article 26 of the Aquatic Life Disease Control Act, this public notice shall be applied from August 1, 2021.
