Greenhouse has a newly expanded parade route. We have added the 300 block of High Street! The added city block gives crowd participants the ability to spread out while practicing social distancing. It will feature our Hometown Heroes. Be it someone who helped during last year’s torna- do, an emergency responder, medical personnel in a time of need; maybe it was a charity organization that gave assistance at the right time, etc. This is your chance to say “Thanks!” for being your hero.

There are a few changes to the festival due to the residual effects of the pandemic. Normally the celebration would continue with the Little Mr. and Miss Independence contest, sponsored by River Region Credit Union, but unfortunately the contest had to be postponed until next year.
