Adam Carolla Podcast Dear Adam, While We Were Both Shocked And Adam Carolla Podcast Dear Adam, While we were both shocked and saddened to hear your opinions regarding the "Transgendered Community" this past week, we are happy to learn that you did in fact apologize for your comments. As you may now know, Transgender is the state of one's "gender identity" (self-identification as woman, man, neither or both) not matching one's "assigned sex". While people may self-identify as transgender, transgender includes many categories such as: cross-dressers (CD); transvestites (TV); cross-gender; drag kings; and drag queens; and, frequently, transsexual (TS). While we understand that many people simply fear what they don't understand, we also know that if you spent some quality time with people who share our lifestyle, you'd see that many of us share the same interests as you! Many of us love to work on cars, play sports, and frequent the same concerts and movies. At TRANNYDATE.COM we list the largest selection of profiles from the Trangendered community. We are a social network and dating website that has been very successful fixing many couples up. As big fans of yours going back to your days on the "Man Show" and "Loveline", we'd like to invite you to spend the day at our offices in beautiful West Hollywood, CA and hang around a bunch of very creative and fun people! We'd love to be your next destination for a live remote for the Adam Carolla Podcast. Please let us know if you'd like to take us up on our offer, we'd be very happy to surround you with some very intriguing and fun people and we know you will understand why people do in fact care about us! • Print Journalism's Framing of Female Candidates in The
Joining the World of Journals Welcome to the nation’s first and, to our knowledge, only undergraduate research journal in communi- cations. We discovered this fact while perusing the Web site of the Council on Undergraduate Research, which lists and links to the 60 or so undergraduate research journals nationwide (http://www.cur.org/ugjournal. html). Some of these journals focus on a discipline (e.g., Journal of Undergraduate Research in Physics), some are university-based and multidisciplinary (e.g., MIT Undergraduate Research Journal), and some are university-based and disciplinary (e.g., Furman University Electronic Journal in Undergraduate Mathematics). The Elon Journal is the first to focus on undergraduate research in journalism, media and communi- cations. The School of Communications at Elon University is the creator and publisher of the online journal. The second issue was published in Fall 2010 under the editorship of Dr. Byung Lee, associate professor in the School of Communications. The three purposes of the journal are: • To publish the best undergraduate research in Elon’s School of Communications each term, • To serve as a repository for quality work to benefit future students seeking models for how to do undergraduate research well, and • To advance the university’s priority to emphasize undergraduate student research. The Elon Journal is published twice a year, with spring and fall issues. Articles and other materials in the journal may be freely downloaded, reproduced and redistributed without permission as long as the author and source are properly cited. Student authors retain copyright own- ership of their works. Celebrating Student Research This journal reflects what we enjoy seeing in our students -- intellectual maturing.

Misraje took the stand Thursday to claim that although he and Carolla never drew up a paper contract, they had orally agreed to split their company, and that Carolla never disputed that split until after the podcast became a success. Mark Geragos of Geragos & Geragos APC, representing Carolla, however, pressed Misraje about a deal memo his wife had sent him in February 2010, after the podcast was established. The deal memo contained proposed terms for a net revenue split of 70-30 for the flagship podcast, and different splits for a set of proposed podcasts Misraje was planning to launch with the business. Geragos asked why, if Misraje and Carolla's deal was so solid, he was still looking at proposed terms well after their initial meeting.

No Safe Spaces: A Distorted Image of a Clear Problem Michael Conklin Abstract This is a critical analysis of the documentary No Safe Spaces. The movie features comedian Adam Carolla and conservative talk show host Dennis Prager. Depending on the source, the movie is either the most necessary and prescient documentary ever or the most harmful. Unfortunately, the polarizing nature of the reviews largely fall along partisan political lines, with conservatives prais- ing the movie and liberals criticizing it. This partisan result could have likely been minimized if the movie communicated a more bi- partisan tone. To further complicate things, the movie does not pro- vide a clear thesis of what it is trying to promote. Rather, it seems to schizophrenically jump from topic to topic, some of which are not even tangentially related to each other.

  • House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform No Safe Spaces Congressional Testimony Regarding Free Speech on College Campuses July 27, 2017
House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform No Safe Spaces Congressional Testimony Regarding Free Speech on College Campuses July 27, 2017 Chairman Jordan and members of the subcommittee; The stars of our film, comedian Adam Carolla and nationally syndicated talk-show host Dennis Prager, both make their living by sharing ideas. Our filmmaking team is comprised of Hollywood veterans that would not have a career telling stories and making movies if it weren’t for the rights granted to us by the 1st Amendment. The issue of free speech is dear to all of us, which is why Adam Carolla is representing our film in Congress to testify on this issue. We thank you for the opportunity, and acknowledge your intrepidness for inviting a well-known comedian to speak his mind. Paraphrasing our 40th President, Ronald Reagan, the eight most terrifying words in the English language are, “I’m from Hollywood and I’m here to help.” Adam Carolla and Dennis Prager share no similarities as it pertains to their academic careers. Carolla had an undistinguished and short lived effort (if you can call it that) at a community college, while Prager is Ivy League educated. But despite academic pedigree, the chilling of free speech concerns all of us, especially when it’s at the epicenter of what should be the place where ideas are shared and challenged the most— college. This concern over free speech on college campuses operates on several levels. First, Carolla and Prager are two men that make their living by challenging ideas through humor, debate, social commentary, and if warranted, ridicule.

Even People Who Disagree on Everything Agree on Adam Carolla! “As the revolution reaches its final, most humorless stage, there’s no beer, braver, or more insightful observer than Adam Carolla. You may feel despondent about what’s happening right now. This book will remind you that you should also be amused.” —TUCKER CARLSON “Adam and I agree on absolutely nothing, but he’s a sharp, smart, funny guy to disagree with. In this book he’s managed to make me laugh at one moment, then cry out ‘What an idiot!’ in the next. His own blue-collar mastery of the language invites the reader into the conversation—just like the podcast—so much so that I breezed through the book in only one siing on the toilet.” —BRYAN CRANSTON “Within these pages, you will find wrien proof that Adam Carolla is insane. Buy this for your uncle.” —JIMMY KIMMEL “Adam has wrien a funny, insightful book with a powerful message a bunch of people will manage to be offended by without reading it.” —TIM ALLEN “Adam Carolla is the sort of blue-collar, sit-at-the-end-of-the-bar, sort-of intellectual I enjoy.
