Bama Breeze Jimmy’s latest CD is scheduled to be released on October 10. Award winning bassist Glenn Worf, Mobile native Will Kimbrough, Little Feats’ Billy Payne, and Party At The End Of The World slide guitar master Sonny Landreth joined Jimmy and the resident Coral Weather With You Reefers in Key West last February at what was then the Party At The End Of The World. We knew better than to refer to it as such so early, but it Everybody's On The Phone was a working title. In between fishing and boating trips, and sampling the Whoop De Doo keys culinary offerings, “should I spend time on the treadmill or eat at Hogfish,” Jimmy and his talented troop started the “party” that ended as Nothin' But A Breeze “weather” in Mac McAnally’s studio in Muscle Shoals. Cinco De Mayo In Memphis All the talent trapped in the old ice house on Key West’s historic waterfront Reggabilly Hill set the substance for the new recording, and the style was added by Mac and Mr. Utley. Meanwhile, Jimmy was overseas watching World Cup soccer and Elvis Presley Blues hanging with Mark Knopfler – not exactly dire straits. A video was filmed last Hula Girl At Heart summer for the song “Bama Breeze” and Jimmy told the Boston Globe’s Steve Morse, “It's a tribute to those honky-tonks that line the Gulf Coast where Wheel Inside The Wheel I grew up on the Alabama, Mississippi, Florida coast of the Gulf. It's about Silver Wings the infamous Flora-Bama bar.

  • Finn Revives Crowded House Music
ARAB TIMES, SUNDAY, JUNE 6, 2021 NEWS/FEATURES 13 People & Places Television ‘Nobody can do it’ Voice of Jeopardy! keeps going at 92 LOS ANGELES, June 5, (AP): Johnny Gilbert, who decided to stick with “Jeopardy!” after Alex Trebek’s death, faced the wrenching question once again as production for next season neared. This time it would mean adjusting to the quiz show’s yet-to-be-named host, as opposed to the succession of celebrities who have been fi lling in since Trebek suc- cumbed to pancreatic cancer last November. “It’s not easy for me because I worked with Alex for 37 years, and I never thought of anybody replacing him,” he said. “Nobody can do it like he did it, you know.” No one does it like Gilbert either, who at age 92 has decided he’s not ready to call it quits on the show busi- ness career he began pursuing as a teenager. Last year, when he was re- luctant to continue after losing his admired and longtime col- league, others with the show urged Gilbert to consider his role as a comforting touchstone for viewers who also were in mourning for Trebek. “If you just listen to the way Johnny articulates each name, each word, he has a voice and Gilbert even more importantly, de- livery, unlike anyone else,” said Mike Richards, the show’s executive producer. Without Trebek, “the fact we can still rely on Johnny is obviously very impor- tant to us as well.” “This is ‘Jeopardy!’” is Gilbert’s richly booming introduction that opens each episode and belies his years.

  • "A Mini Dreamwork Primer" by Rick Belden
A mini dreamwork primer by Rick Belden my dreams float just below the surface of consciousness like ice floes drifting out to sea. asleep on an airplane they are the clouds beneath me always there and out of reach real surreal and everywhere half-seen in drowsy glimpses. invisible as gravity insatiable as imagination they are the wings that hold me to this earth they can take me anywhere but they always bring me home. Introduction Dreams are an incredibly rich source of information that lies largely untapped in most of us. Unbound by the stifling mundanities of daily waking life, they present us with a seemingly infinite stream of fantastic scenarios, mysterious characters, mythic themes, and transcendent possibilities, often functioning as precursors and companions to major awakenings in our lives. Dreams and dreamwork played an essential part in the genesis and development of my first book, Iron Man Family Outing, and have continued to remain significant for me ever since. In this post, I’d like to share some of the basic ideas and strategies I’ve learned in working with my dreams over the last 25 years, in the hope that readers might feel inspired to spend a little time with those mysterious and often forgotten friends that visit us every night, our dreams. Recall and Record The first step in working with any dream is to remember it. One of the best ways to encourage and improve your dream recall is to make a habit of recording whatever you remember from your dreams in whatever way is best for you, whether it’s writing, making a voice recording, or doing some artwork.

  • Dream-Based Interventions and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
Running head: DREAM-BASED INTERVENTIONS 1 Dream-Based Interventions and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder A Literature Review Presented to The Faculty of the Adler Graduate School ____________________ In Partial Fulfillment of the Requirement for The Degree of Master of Arts in Adlerian Counseling and Psychotherapy ____________________ By Kurt Pope ____________________ Chair: Rachelle J. Reinisch, DMFT Reader: Meghan Williams, MA ____________________ July, 2017 DREAM-BASED INTERVENTIONS 2 Abstract With the vast amount of conceptual frameworks and research on dreams, datum suggests that dream-based interventions can be effectively utilized in clinical mental health settings. Additionally, a paradoxical relationship exists between dreams and trauma, so dream-based interventions could be of value when implemented in post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) treatment protocol. Integration of current dream-based interventions in conjunction with Individual Psychology could produce a protocol to target re-experienced PTSD trauma-related dreams. Attending to trauma-related dreams from a cognitive, emotional, and social perspective could have an impact on the treatment of concurrent waking-life symptoms of PTSD. Keywords: dreams, PTSD, Individual Psychology DREAM-BASED INTERVENTIONS 3 Acknowledgements Genuine thanks to my family, friends, David Thompson, John Reardon, Erin Rafferty- Bugher, Dr. Rachelle Reinisch, and Nikhil Kaistha for knowledge, guidance, and patience.
