Hi everybody, Congratulations to the Boston Bruins, a proud MeiGray partner since 2002. For the third time in nine seasons, the Bruins have reached the Stanley Cup Final. The 2018-19 Eastern Conference Champions swept the Carolina Hurricanes four straight in the Eastern Conference Final, and are now seeking their first Stanley Cup since 2011. The Bruins-MeiGray Group Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Program is proud to announce that we are now taking pre-orders for the Bruins' Stanley Cup Final game-worn jerseys. Many of you have already put your names on the request list. Feel free to e-mail [email protected] if you would to add your name to the list. Please be sure to include a phone number AND an e-mail address where you can be reached today. As in past seasons, MGG Program teams will be wearing two new sets of home and two new sets of road jerseys in the Final, with the 2019 Stanley Cup Final patch. The Final set of black jerseys available to collectors will be worn in Games 1 and 2 of the Stanley Cup Final, and in Game 5 if the series is 2-2 after four games. The Final set of white jerseys available to collectors will be worn in Game 3 and in Game 4, unless one team is ahead 3-0 after three games. Once one team reaches three wins in the Final, the Bruins will begin wearing a second set of home and road jerseys that will remain property of the team. Pre-orders must be paid in full. Pre-orders are non-refundable once the player ordered plays. We will have game-issued Final jerseys available for players on the Bruins' roster who might not play in the Stanley Cup Final. During Hardy’s three-year tenure as General Manager, the Steel compiled a USHL-best 116-39- 8-2 record, winning one Clark Cup championship, two Anderson Cups as regular season champions and two Eastern Conference titles. In his new role for Toronto, Hardy will have complete control over the hockey operations for the Marlies and the Growlers, including roster decisions and staffing. “I am certainly excited to begin my new role in Toronto but this is definitely a very bittersweet day,” said Hardy. “I have given all of myself to this team over the last three years and I will miss this place tremendously. I want to thank Larry Robbins and Dan Lehv for the belief they put in me and our ambitious vision three years ago. Valtteri Filppula scored the game-winner with 2 1/2 minutes left in the second period and Travis Sanheim netted his first career goal to help the Flyers win their fifth straight game, 2-1 over the Buffalo Sabres on Thursday night. Brian Elliott rebounded from a costly mistake early in the game to make 19 saves for the Flyers, whose winning streak has come on the heels of a 10-game losing streak. The winning stretch began with a three-game Canadian trip that started with coach Dave Hakstol changing the team’s formation to a more defensive-minded 1-2-2 alignment. Philadelphia (13-11-7) has outscored opponents 19-8 since. Buffalo opened the scoring 1 1/2 minutes into the game thanks to a miscue by Elliott. The Flyers goalie attempted to clear the puck from behind the net, but he passed right to Buffalo’s Zemgus Girgensons. The Buffalo center then passed in front to Ryan O’Reilly, who shot into an empty net for his eighth goal of the season. “A little miscommunication and a bad play on my part,” Elliott said. But the Flyers didn’t get rattled — something that maybe wouldn’t have happened two weeks ago. “You can take a punch better when you have a swagger to your game,” Hakstol said.
