AFL Accreditation Policy December 2017 Purpose The purpose of AFL Accreditation is to identify AFL, Club and Media personnel and their match day roles and provide them with the appropriate access privileges to carry out their roles at AFL venues. AFL Accreditation Management The AFL Accreditation is managed by the AFL Ticketing Department; with representatives from Integrity, Football Operations, Corporate Affairs and Risk Management forming part of the extended management team in their areas of expertise. Conditions of accreditation 1. Accreditation shall be issued by the AFL to individuals with specific functions at an AFL match. 2. Holders of accreditation are granted access to specified stadiums and/or matches and locations within stadiums. 3. Accreditation is not transferable. 4. Permissions shall restrict access to only those specific areas/zones within venues that are necessary to perform activities directly relevant to the reason for accreditation. 5. Accreditation does not permit the holder to attend a match day as a spectator or to occupy any seat, corporate or members’ facility in the stadium that would normally be covered by a ticket or membership. 6. Accreditation must be worn and easily visible at all times. 7. Directions from senior/authorised AFL, Club, Venue personnel and security staff must be adhered to at all times. 8. Pass holders must cooperate with the procedures and requirements implemented at entry points as well as internal security check points and treat individuals with courtesy and respect. 9. The issue of “AAA” (Access all Areas) accreditation is kept to an absolute minimum, based on match day roles and access requirements. AAA accreditation will only be issued if approved by key AFL staff. 10. AFL Accreditation Management has the right to reject any application for accreditation. 11. Where practical, all passes are to carry photo identification. 12. Breach of any AFL or Venue policy or terms and conditions may result in confiscation of pass and withdrawal of accreditation privileges at any time. 13. Accreditation remains the property of AFL and must be relinquished on termination of employment. 14. Personnel are required to approve a set of T&C’s before their pass can be issued to them. 15. Failure to comply with the Conditions of Accreditation will result in an investigation and if proven will be subject to sanction by the AFL. All AFL, Club and Media staff are required to request accreditation via their Accreditation Administrator and follow the procedures including accepting the Terms and Conditions, issued by the AFL Ticketing Department before match day access is provided. 2. Accreditation requests for contractors must be placed by the AFL or Club Accreditation Administrator on behalf of the contractor. 3. Application for accreditation is to be made to the AFL and approval will be by via either the AFL Ticketing Department (Club and Match Day Personnel passes) or AFL Corporate Affairs (Media passes) and subject to vetting by the AFL Integrity and Security Department. 4. Applicants will be required to submit requests via an online accreditation platform and complete all required fields, including the provision of a current photo (head shot). 5. Approval of all accreditation is at the discretion of the AFL. Accreditation types Accreditation issued by the AFL shall be either 1. Media passes (Media Outlets) 2. Match Day Personnel (AFL Staff, AFL contractors) 3. Club Personnel (Club staff – including Club Media staff, Club contractors) Applications can be made for seasonal passes that will provide persons who are regularly required to attend matches in a working capacity with access to designated AFL seasons – the Preseason, Premiership Season and/or the Finals Series. If accreditation is only required for a specific match or ad-hoc games throughout a season, daily match-specific passes will be issued. Restricted zones AFL venues shall be allocated specific areas/zones which shall be secured with appropriate access control measures. Venue staff or other appropriate security staff will be required to control access to these specified areas to prevent unauthorised access.
