22 Site PREPARATION POLE BARN SITE PREP We require a level dirt pad (accessible with large trucks and equipment) 4 to 8 feet larger than the fi nal dimensions of the pole barn. If you need to bring in fi ll to make a level pad, keep it free of rock and concrete chunks since we will be drilling holes to set posts. If we pour a concrete fl oor, we need you to provide 2B stone for a 4” thick base. We will level and prep the stone. Typically, we install concrete fl oors after we’ve erected the building. We do not offer pad excavation services ourselves, but will recommend the services of local excavation companies. POLE BARN POST OPTIONS

1. Good Option – Regular treated lumber post set on a concrete 1 2 3 footing

2. Better Option – Green Post™ lumber post factory wrapped with bitumen and polyethylene

3. Best Option – Perma-Column® concrete post with hardware to mount a lumber post on top

GARAGE SITE PREP You will need a level dirt pad and usually a frost footer dug just prior to pouring the concrete footers. You will then need to have the trenches back fi lled after the foundation is in and put 4” of 2B stone down in preparation for a concrete fl oor. We do not offer pad excavation services ourselves, but will recommend the services of local excavation companies.
