The CaseMap ribbon has buttons for the features you use most­—for example, issue linking, filtering and reports are at your fingertips. And when you hover over any , a descriptive hint helps you along.

Gather and organize case facts and issues You can efficiently gather critical information directly from PDFs, Concordance® discovery management software, Microsoft® Word, lexis.com®, Lexis Advance® and more. Send it to CaseMap while maintaining a record and the ability to link back to each resource where the information originated.

CaseMap spreadsheets and tools enable you to organize witness lists, a master-fact chronology and document indices, plus privilege logs, deposition summaries and case issues you’re trying to prove.

Full-text searching You can easily search individual spreadsheets. But you can also search your entire CaseMap file, as well as the attached documents, to quickly find and easily manage facts, key players and hot documents. Search your entire case file and then narrow results, as desired. Issue Linking You can easily link facts and objects to case issues with the Issue Linking button centered on your ribbon.

Search Link Assistant It’s simple to search case data for object and issue names. The CaseMap 11 Search Link Assistant automatically searches for links to objects and issues with names that match your search criteria.

To gain the most benefit without complicating your searches, use CaseMap short names for linking. This feature is enabled by default, but you can easily turn it off for more precise search control.

Bulk importing and optical character recognition You can import multiple types of documents and images at once—not only PDFs, but virtually any document type, including Word, email and TIFF files.

Convert images to text using optical character recognition (OCR) on multiple documents to find the underlying text contained in images.

Microsoft integration Seamlessly send work product and case data to CaseMap from within Word. Either highlight specific facts to send, or send the full document.

In addition, integration with Microsoft Outlook® is available when you use the CaseMap DocManager feature.

Tools for real-time collaboration CaseMap 11 also includes a Microsoft SharePoint® Web Part, enabling you to view real-time CaseMap data (e.g., spreadsheets) on a collaborative case team or matter Web page. You can grant access to the page for non CaseMap users (e.g., clients or co-counsel). The SharePoint Web Part requires SQL access*.

CaseMap 11 with SQL for collaboration across your LAN or via Citrix* Litigation teams across your local-area network or Citrix network can use CaseMap 11 with SQL simultaneously to capture, organize and share facts, research and documents.

• Store case data using a Microsoft SQL Server® database if this approach meets your needs. - This option provides added security and may be your best choice if you have multiple offices, an SQL server, litigation support staff and in-house IT. - You can convert multiple CaseMap Access cases at once into SQL Server databases. • Manage cases in CaseMap 11, as well as CaseMap 10, CaseMap 9, TextMap® 6 and TextMap 7, with updated versions of the CaseMap Server and Admin Console. • Collaborate on a smaller scale using CaseMap with Citrix or other terminal service technologies.

CaseMap DocManager feature Enhanced document searching, viewing, annotating and printing. With a near-native viewer supporting most standard file types used in litigation, the CaseMap DocManager feature provides a single interface for you to view, annotate, hit- highlight, Bates stamp, batch print, and batch convert files to PDF and TIFF.

*Optional; requires Microsoft SQL Server®, which may call for database administrative staffing. The CaseMap DocManager feature displays highlighted search hits. You can also use the CaseMap DocManager to review all linked documents.

CaseMap DocManager also offers a Document Review Pane, enabling you to navigate more easily between search hit documents and keep multiple documents open in the same .
