We offer more than 90 cabins for our patrons’ enjoyment. Our cabins are funded by numerous sources including private donations, friends groups, and cooperative efforts among Kansas Wildlife and Parks, Kansas Wildscape Foundation, Kansas De- partment of Corrections, and Greenbush-SE Kansas Education Service Center.

State park vehicle permits are required in Kansas state parks but are not required at Kansas state fishing lakes or wildlife areas (public lands).

DELUXE CABIN overlooks Atchison A Deluxe Cabin State Fishing Lake. This cabin offers one bed- room with a full-size bed and a futon. The bathroom offers a large walk-in shower. The large front room has a full kitchen with stove, refrigerator, microwave, pots and pans, dishes, silverware, and basic kitchen tools. Also included are toasters, coffee makers, and filters. You will find additional sleeping ac- commodations in the front room with a pull down twin-size murphy bed and a sofa. The cabin is air conditioned and heated. A picnic area outside offers a fire ring, barbecue grill, and picnic table. The large front porch will beckon you to sit a spell. Located northwest of Atchison, you will enjoy the tranquility of the lake and great fishing opportunities. This cabin is ADA- accessible. Located northwest of Atchison, the cabin is open all year. Vehicle permits are not required at Atchison State Fishing Lake.

CEDAR BLUFF STATE PARK offers three deluxe and two sleeper cabins overlooking and Gobbler’s Roost Cabin within walking distance of the lake. The FLYWAY and GOBBLER’S ROOST are deluxe cabins with heating and air conditioning, a bathroom, stove, refrigerator, microwave, and two bedrooms, each with a full-sized bed and two sets of twin bunk beds. Flyway is fully ADA accessible. The JUMPIN’ CATFISH is a deluxe cabin with the same amenities as Flyway and Gobbler but with one bedroom with a full-sized bed and two twin mattresses in the sleeper loft. The WHITETAIL RIDGE and TRAPPER’S LODGE are two-bed- room sleeper cabins. They have heating and air conditioning, refrigerator, and microwave. They are each equipped with two beds with twin bunks above and queen-sized beds below. Trapper’s Lodge is fully ADA accessible. The cabins have a cov- ered patio, grill, fire ring, frost-free hydrant, exterior electric outlets, and picnic tables. CHENEY STATE PARK, 20 miles West of Wichita, offers seven sleeper cabins within walking distance of the lake. These 12’ x 24’ one-room cabins have a bathroom with walk-in shower. All have air conditioning and heat. The KINGFISHER, NUTHATCH, MOCKINGBIRD, PELICAN, KESTREL, and ROADRUNNER cabins are equipped with one full-size bed and a set of bunk beds. The NIGHTHAWK cabin is partially handicapped accessible, has a full-size bed with an upper bunk and a single rollaway bed. Each cabin has a kitchenette with small sink, dorm refrigerator, toaster, and coffee maker. Relax on the screened-in porch or enjoy the patio, complete with picnic table, grill, and fire ring. The cabins are available to visi- tors year-round and provide an alternative camping opportu- nity for individuals who enjoy the facilities provided by the Mockingbird Cabin park but would rather not rough it.

LOCATED JUST SOUTH OF LAWRENCE, CAMP CREEK and CHICKEN CREEK cabins sit atop a high bluff in Clinton State Park overlooking Clinton Reservoir. A view of miles of rugged timbered shore- line and beautiful sunsets illuminate the sky- line, with Clinton reservoir’s solitary “” centered in this breathtaking view. Each cabin consists of faux log siding, a large sit- ting porch, and concrete parking and patio areas that create a home-felt yet rustic appeal. The spacious three-room air conditioned and heated cabins offer all the amenities necessary for a comfortable stay. Ac- commodations include a full service eat-in kitchen, 3/4 bath and master bedroom. With the added pull- down twin Murphy bed and fold out futon bed, the cabin comfortably sleeps six people. All you’ll need to complete the experience are your linens, bed pillows, View Chicken Creek Cabin and bath towels.

THE NEW DELUXE CABINS overlook Crawford State Park. All of the cabins offer full kitchens com- plete with stove, refrigerator, microwave, pots and pans, dishware, and utensils. The cabins also offer toasters and coffee makers with filters. The cabins are air conditioned and heated and have bathrooms with showers. The SHADY REST offers three full-size beds, two twin beds, and a bunk bed. The NORTH WIND, MORNING GLORY, and THE LANDING offer one bedroom with a full-size bed and a futon. JUST WEST OF YATES CENTER, three cabins await you at Cross Timbers State Park. These deluxe cabins are air-conditioned and heated with bathrooms that include showers (no tubs.) They offer kitchens with stove tops, re- frigerators, microwaves, coffee makers and filters, and in- clude pots and pans, dishware, and utensils. All three cabins have three bedrooms and offer one full-sized bed, one set of bunk beds, futon, and two twin beds in the loft. A picnic area offers a fire ring with grill and picnic table. We furnish firewood. The cabins overlook the scenic Toronto Reservoir with one courtesy dock between two cabins just for the cabin occupants. You will find excellent Eagle’s Nest Cabin fishing, great trails, and wonderful wildlife viewing op- portunities in this scenic park. The WHISPERING OAK Cabin offers partial ADA-accessibility. LOCATED 45 MILES SOUTH OF TOPEKA, an exciting get- away is waiting for you in the four deluxe cabins, two sleeper yurts, Gaillard Yurt and one sleeper cabin that Eisenhower State Park offers. Located on the north shore of Melvern Reservoir, these cabins are perfect week- end destinations. The MELVERN, ARVONIA, ALGIERS, AND MEADE cabins are ADA-accessible. They offer one bedroom with a full-size bed and a futon. The bathrooms have large walk-in showers. The front room has a sofa and a twin size murphy bed. The kitchen is complete with stove, microwave, refrigerator, pots and pans, dishes, utensils, toaster, and a coffee maker. A large front porch awaits you along with a park-style grill, fire ring, and a picnic table. The COLT and the GAILLARD are sleeper yurts. These are round, one-room structures that offer full-size beds and a futon. The Colt is ADA-accessible, and the Gaillard also offers a futon and a full-size bed with a twin bunk. While there is no bathroom or kitchen inside, there are bathroom facilities nearby and an outside water hydrant at the yurt. The MAMIE Cabin is a sleeper cabin with a full-size bed and a futon bunk bed. Bathroom facilities are nearby, and a picnic area is adjacent. This cabin is ADA-accessible. Cabin 7-Prairie Willow EL DORADO STATE PARK, east of El Dorado, provides cabin rentals as an alternative camping oppor- tunity at El Dorado Reservoir. Cabins are available by reservation year-round. Seven cabins, located in the Bluestem Point campground, provide a view of the lake, are adjacent to the Bluestem Point swimming beach, and are located less than 1/4-mile from a boat ramp. Three cabins, located in the Walnut River camp- ground, are within walking distance of the Walnut River and the Walnut River Swimming Beach. All cab- ins have their own picnic table, grill, and fire ring in grassy yards with mature shade trees and are easily ac- cessible from paved parking areas. The Bluestem Point cabins, 1-BUTTERCUP, 2- CONEFLOWER, 3-DOGWOOD, 4-GOLDENROD, 5-LARKSPUR one-room sleeper cabins that can comfortably accommodate four people each. These 12’ x 12’ cabins have one full-size bed, a set of bunk beds, and a bench table with seating for four. Each cabin has electricity and air condition- ing/heat, a covered porch with porch swing, and an outside water hydrant. There is a bathroom/shower building centrally located for cabin renters, use. Lighted sidewalks lead from each cabin to the bathroom/shower facility. CABIN 6-PRIMROSE, located at Bluestem Point, is handicapped accessible. This 12’ x 50’ cabin has one bedroom, full-size bed with single bunk, sofa Cabin 9-Wild Indigo sleeper, and recliner.

GLEN ELDER STATE PARK on the north shore of Glen Elder Reservoir has two Tahoe Cabin modern cabins for your enjoyment. KANOPOLIS STATE PARK, the first Kansas state Cabin park, is located in eastern Ellsworth County 35 miles southwest of Salina. Six deluxe cabins the ARAPAHO , CHEYENNE, , , BUF- FALO BILL, and , are available to visitors year-round. The cabins are in the Little Bluestem camp- ground of the Langley Point area on the south side of the lake. Five of the six 16’ x 28’ cabins are handicapped accessible. Each has air conditioning/heat, one bath- room and one bedroom with a full-size bed. In the liv- ing area there is a futon and a single murphy bed. KINGMAN STATE FISHING LAKE, 7 miles west of Kingman on U.S. Highway 54, added two modern fee cabins overlooking the lake in 2010. The area charges no entry fees, and the cabins are available year-round, ac- commodating as many as six overnight guests. The area around the lake provides hiking, wildlife viewing, prim- itive camping year-round, and a newly-refurbished group shelter for family gatherings. The lake’s main attraction is fishing, and hunting is available on the adjacent 4,622-acre Byron Walker Wildlife Area, through which the Ninnescah River flows. The NINNESCAH and SAND PLUMB cabins are air conditioned and heated and sleep six comfortably on one queen, one single futon, one double futon, and one single Murphy beds. MCPHERSON STATE FISHING LAKE adjoins the Maxwell Wildlife Handicapped accessible cabin Refuge, which offers viewing of bison and elk in a native prairie setting. The 46-acre lake is surrounded by 260 acres of campground and public use area. The lake is characterized by a steep rocky shoreline towards the dam and shallow mud flats on the upper end. A boat launch facility is located on the west side of the lake. Boating on the lake is for fishing only. Primitive camping is also permitted and fire rings/grills, pic- nic tables, and pit toilets are available. For visitors who prefer not to rough it, McPherson State Fishing Lake offers a 16’ x 27’ deluxe cabin with air conditioning/heat, open to visitors year- round. This cabin is handicapped-accessible. It has one full bathroom, one bedroom with a full size bed, and a futon. In the living area, there is a sofa and a single murphy bed. 1. You may make a reservation for up to one year in advance. 2. Online state park reservations must be made at least three days in advance during the April-September park season. Otherwise, you must call the park offices. During the off- season (October-March), online reservations must be made at least five days in advance. 3. Online reservations for state fishing lake and wildlife area cabins must be made five days in advance year-round. Otherwise, you must call the office. 4. Full payment is required at the time the reservation is made. Payments online are made with credit cards. Payments made in cash or by check or money order must be made through the offices. Damage deposits for those paying by cash, check, or money order must be sub- mitted to the office at the time of reservation. 5. A non-refundable $12.00 reservation fee is required for each cabin at the time the reservation is made unless the cabin is reserved on the day of arrival. If the cabin is a same-day reservation, a 50-cent transaction fee is charged. 6. Weekly reservation rates are determined on a seven-night basis. The eighth night is reserved at the regular reservation rate. 7. Monthly reservation rates are determined on a 30-night basis. The 31st night is re- served at the regular reservation rate. 8. Some areas have a complete-weekend rule. This means that a person must reserve the cabin for a complete weekend. If you reserve for Friday, you must also pay for Saturday, etc. There is no refund for days on a complete weekend that are not used. 9. Cancellation of the cabin reservation 30 or more days prior to arrival date results in a 100 percent refund minus the reservation fee and associated issuance fees. Cancellation 29 or less to 5 days prior to arrival results in a 100 percent refund minus one night rental fee, the reservation fee and associated issuance fees. Cancellation of the reservation rental 4 days or less prior to arrival date or after arrival date will result in all fees being forfeited or a credit for the unused portion (less one night rental and reservation fees) may be issued. 10. The reservation price is the price indicated on the date of stay or the day for which the reservation is made. 11. Damages to the cabin upon checkout will be charged to a credit card or the Paypal account used to make the reservation. If the reservation was made by check, cash, or money order, a bill will be sent to the renter. 12. Checkout time is NOON; checkin time is after 2 p.m. year-round at all KDWP cabins.
