Mind Quality Review

Thank you to everyone who took part in the Mind Quality Review this year. The Review is part of us calling ourselves a “Mind” Charity and it focusses on the management, governance and engagement of people. Following our internal assessment we had some external assessors come and interview staff, trustees, service users and volunteers. We completed the Review with no outstanding action plans and we were particularly praised in the following areas:-

Service User Involvement being throughout the whole organisation and owned by all the managers and staff. Having a Board of Trustees who are strong, diversely skilled and experienced. That we use and appreciate a wide range of volunteers across all the services. Clearly Mind inputs at a high strategic level within City and has an excellent reputation for service delivery The two areas for us to consider were Communication – now that we have grown by 40% we need to think of more creative ways of communicating with people. Environmental – consider how we can encourage people to be more green. Thank you everyone! It is a brilliant outcome and the Review team were full of praise Helen Wadley (CEO)

We would like to wish all of our Service Users, Staff and Love to Shop?? Volunteers a wonderful festive period. Please remember to keep yourself safe and…. We are now set up with Easy  Drink sensibly Fundraising and Amazon Smile. It is just so simple, just  Eat well one extra mouse click and you too could  Be active be raising funds for Birmingham Mind.  Get involved Please please please sign up to this and  Stay in touch  Relax don’t forget to ask your friends, family  Sleep members and work colleagues too!! FOOD BANKS IN BIRMINGHAM Foodbank clients bring their voucher to a foodbank centre where it can be redeemed for three days emergency food. Volunteers meet clients over a cup of tea or free hot meal and are able to signpost people to agencies able to solve the longer-term problem.
