Please read the instructions given in the admission brochure carefully before filling up the application form. 2. Online application form is available at the Institute website http://mtechadmissions.iittp.ac.in/. After filling the form, please take a printout and keep it for records. 3. The application fee is as follows: GN/EWS/OBC-NCL Male candidates : Rs.400/- GN/EWS/OBC-NCL Female candidates : Rs.200/- SC/ST and PwD candidates : Rs.200/- APPLICATION FEE IS NON-REFUNDABLE Application fee payable through online. (Click here to pay) 4. A valid OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwD Certificate must be uploaded with the ONLINE application and submitted at the time of admission. 5. You should check the IIT Tirupati website for important announcements and the results. 1. The Institute Indian Institute of Technology Tirupati is the first among the 3G IITs, announced in 2014, to have its foundation stone laid in March 2015. It started functioning with the support of its mentoring institute, IIT Madras from the academic year of 2015-16. Currently, the Academic Programs in B.Tech are Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. The curriculum has emphasis on theoretical knowledge and practice oriented laboratories. Courses are planned to nurture innovation, creativity, quality, teamwork, communication skills, ethics and societal interaction. Subsequently, M Tech, M. Sc, M.S (Research) and PhD programmes were also started. 2. M.Tech Admissions IIT Tirupati offering M. Tech Programme from the Academic Year 2020-21 in the following Departments: 1. M. Tech in Civil Engineering (Streams: (i) Environmental and Water Resources Engineering, (ii) Geotechnical Engineering, (iii) Structural Engineering, (iv) Transportation and Infrastructure Engineering) 2. M. Tech in Computer Science & Engineering 3. M. Tech in Electrical Engineering (Stream: Signal Processing & Communications) 4. M. Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Stream: Design & Manufacturing) 3. Financial Assistance Financial assistance in the form of Half-Time Teaching Assistantship (HTTA) at the rate of Rs.12,400/- p.m. (tenable for a maximum period of 24 months) will be awarded to Indian Nationals doing the M. Tech. Programmes, subject to Institute rules. HTTA students are required to assist the department for 8 hours of work per week related to academic activities of the department such as laboratory demonstration, tutorials, evaluation of assignments, test papers, seminars, research projects, etc. 4. Upgradation to Ph.D. M. Tech. students will be eligible for upgradation to Ph.D. if they satisfy the following criteria: a) The candidate should have successfully completed a minimum of 2 semesters in the M. Tech Programme. b) The candidate should have a minimum CGPA of 8.0 in the prescribed courses. 5. Reservation of Seats Seats are reserved for Indian Nationals under the categories, SC/ ST/ EWS/ OBC-NCL and PwD (Persons with Disability) according to the Government of India rules. 6. Minimum Eligibility (A) For GATE qualified candidates Candidates qualified in GATE 2018, 2019 or 2020 and satisfying any one of the following: (i) Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Technology from Educational Institutions approved by AICTE/ Government. (ii) Candidates yet to appear or have appeared in the final examination for the qualifying degree specified in (i)]and whose results are likely to be declared by July 15, 2019. (B) For IIT Graduates Candidates graduating/ graduated from IITs with B. Tech. Degree and having CGPA of 8.0 and above can apply without GATE Score. These applications will be reviewed by the respective Department(s). 7. Eligibility to apply for M. Tech Admissions If you have and if you have written you are eligible to apply for BE/B.
